The media encouraged China to resist and fight Trump's policies...okay, right. Is that supposed to pave the way for the pronouncement that had they not done this Trump would be winning, it's their fault hes not?

China is not Trump, they will do what they need to do, and their president has a far greater grasp of the issues surrounding trade than Trump will ever have.

Trump backed himself into a corner of ignorance and ego with this moron decree telling companies not to deal with China. This is so obviously an idea that is so far beyond sensible let alone doable. I'd like to egg him on to do it, but the way it would collapse our economy would be like the mother of all economical nuclear bombs.

Trump backed himself into a corner, but he has all of America with him. Actually, the media 'could' be brought up on charges of sedition, iffy at best. Companies are leaving China, which state they'll go to is anyone's guess.

Interestingly enough I am in full support of Trump not doing idiotic things that every president seems to at least listen to advisers who have extensive experience in, which he has none.

If you haven't figured it out, Trump has no plan, he doesn't know what he wants, and he is clueless about what a trade deficit is and what it means. He sees one country selling a few hundred billion more to us than we are selling to them and thinks that is a problem that can be evened out...he really thinks like that.

Newsflash, he made the trade deficit bigger by China not buying grains and meat

I am buying a refrigerator, I can't even buy american, GE is made in China.

It's too bad they were paid to leave in the first place, isn't the idea to make things here?

Really? I'm buying a refrigerator and would buy a GE if the frigging thing were made here. Trump does not have all of america with him, far from it, more think his ideas of a trade war were ill conceived if not completely idiotic. His farm bailouts are not helping small farmers, and I can assure you they know where to place the blame for screwing up great trade relations as far as their livelihoods are concerned

it is too bad indeed, and to try and get them back now won`t happen. it would cost too much to manufacture here, never should have let them leave in the first place. I thought made in the USA meant something ? seems that was a long time ago, we need that back again.

GE is just about out of business. I’d try another brand.
