Since someone claimed John MacArthur was a heretic I did a search on the following - RC Sproul, Alistair Begg, Chuck Swindoll, Ravi Zacharias, Todd Friel, J. Vernon McGee, Steve Lawson, Tim Challies and numerous others. I could find claims for ALL of them being heretics.
There are more than a couple of sites that have an 'everybody is a heretic but me' kind of attitude. Some use that label like the left uses racist it seems.
According to Webster's 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language, a heretic is defined as: A person under any religion, but particularly the Christian, who holds…and avows religious opinions contrary to the doctrines of Scripture, the only rule of faith and practice.
John MacArthur teaches that one can take the mark of the beast and repent and later be saved. This is heretical because he avows a religious opinion that PLAINY contradicts what is written in Scripture, the only rule of faith and practice. Once a person takes the mark, their doom is sealed.
