An inverted yeild curve says you're wrong
The folks at ZeroHedge mentioned that an inverted yield curve on US Treasuries does precede economic downturns, however what's happened here is far from definitive. Let's see how this plays out, OK?
https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-06-04/how-long-does-yield-curve-have-be-inverted-recessionAs for you comments about what a great job President Obama did (with the economy) since he was on the other side of President Bush's recession, the economy had nowhere to go but up. What was surprising is how low the GDP numbers were. The economic engine that is the United States cycles but as this link shows, downturns are inevitable, and upturns nearly always last longer (particularly since 1945).
https://www.nber.org/cycles.htmlInterestingly, the average length of time between downturns (since '45) is about 6 years, so not being an economist, but based on a logical assumption - if President Obama's last 6 years were during a normal (albeit slow by GDP numbers) upturn, 3 years into President Trumps administration we should've already HAD a downturn. Instead, with his policies, businesses of all sizes have thrived overall. The number of employed Americans which was going down (unemployment numbers are meaningless without allowing for those who have "left the workforce") is at an all time high.
There's bound to be a downturn coming - it's a statistical certainty - but putting all the blame for it on this President is as silly as praising the previous President because he happened to take office on the other side of the last recession.
Since I'm at it, your insisting that China has President Trump over a barrel makes me think you very judiciously looked at results after googling "China President Trump over a barrel". When I googled "does china have trump over a barrel" I got a lot more links showing the President has China over a barrel, or China has overplayed their hand, or other links that don't align with your position on the subject.
As far as polling data goes, citing it gets you no points since we saw what the relationship between polls and winners was in 2016.
And Russian hackers? Really? Compared the what the Clinton and Trump campaigns were doing, or the giants in the social media world. Get a grip, dude. Russia has ALWAYS tried to muck things up during elections, just like we do, just like the Chinese do (and did), just like the Brits, and the EU, and the Israeli's, and every other powerful government or person like the Kock Brothers, or Soros, etc. etc. etc.
What else ya got. Oh yeah
