She may be "academically smart" but "reality smarts" is missing. I wonder how much she knows about history. This would apply to the dream world of democratic presidential contenders.

When an interviewer asked how she would pay for the green new deal she retorts emotionally and emphatically, "Look if we don’t do something about climate change the world’s going to end in 12 years and you’re worried about the cost?"

That right there shows how much "smarts" she has....and she majored in Economics!

It’s a reasonable take if you’re aware of the 12-year mark outlined in the 2018 UN “Special Report on Global warming of 1.5ºC,” released in October. It mentions the year 2030 — 12 years from now — as the point of no return, if we keep on our current path. It’s mentioned 35 times in the report in varying applications.

Race is always there whether you recognize it or not, it is inherent. Immigration today is driven by the fact that the US will no longer be a majority white country soon. It is too late to change it.
