Isn't that your logic--that bad guys everywhere have AR's and AK's so you have to be armed appropriately? And I take it you are simply trying to mock liberals and you really aren't interested in any type of meaningful debate but this is something that you can take to the bank. How exactly are you going to make semi-automatic firearms disappear? I mean, 1/3rd of the 300 million firearms in US citizens hands are semi autos, that's 100 million, 10 million or so are AR15s. But it doesn't end there, guns, especially self-defense weapons like semi-auto handguns, and AR15s are selling like hotcakes.

Please be sure an let us know if you ever decide to engage in any meaningful debate about firearms. Your unrelenting screams about banning semi-auto firearms definitely disqualifies you.

Hey, I'm telling you there will be a point when enough will be enough. You think it can't happen. Well, I am telling you it can and will happen.

And what meaningful debate to you want to engage in? There is no way to keep guns out of the hands of both the left and right-wing lunatics. So what kind of gun control would be effective? If banning certain firearms is off the table then nothing. There is nothing that is effective in keeping guns out of the hands of the wrong people.

If you ban them though plus stop the manufacture and resale then economics takes over and the price of semi-auto's goes through the roof. Then comes attrition and semi-auto's will become scarcer and scarcer. You can hang onto your semi-auto but where are you going to go with it? You can't be in public with it, you can't go to the shooting range. You are limited to your house or your property if it is enough acreage. And if you do go into public you have automatically made yourself a target. You are welcome to explain that you are a good guy with a gun; I would love to see how that goes over with your face planted in the mud.

To have a meaningul debate means you would have to have a reasonable position. You don’t. The “carnage” by these weapons is a few hundred deaths a year. Yet you could care less about the many more who are murdered by other means.

Currently 22% of American households own guns down from 40% in the 70s. The NRA has replaced the image of gun owners as father and son hunting foul on a crisp Saturday in fall, with the image of a spittle spewing lunatic hoarding assault rifles and ammo in case he needs to shoot up the governments black helicopters from his bunker. More of our current veterans eat their own guns after getting home than are killed in battle. If normal gun owners want to keep regulations to a minimum they had better come up with a plan to reduce the number of mass shootings, get guns out of the hands of the mentally deranged and take control of the NRA back from the gun industry lobby.
