I hope that neither states nor Feds decide to enact red flag laws of any kind. It takes away due process, and makes the idea of innocent until proven guilty a thing of the past. Unfortunately, I think that states like California will enact such laws, and people will decide if it saves lives, it is worth it. So we once again give up freedoms to get "safety" and end up with neither. Another blow to the Constitution. As Adams said, and I have mentioned before, the Constitution is for the governance of a religious and moral people It is wholly inadequate for any other. Looks like we are no longer moral or religious or even remotely good.

The reason the "red fag" laws wouldn't work is simple. Our old laws aren't being followed so new ones? Or to make it easier, a criminal will always get a gun if he wants one.
