I know about technology and innovation creating more jobs. You really fail to grasp the concept or facetiousness, don't you.

Thanks for looking up Michelle Carter. I knew you would because you hate the loose end of any kinds. You passed the test. Do you have an opinion on her case? It seems as though you ask lots of questions and seldom answer any with any substance because you like to hedge your bets without committing to a position on anything so that it can't be thrown up in your face later.

There are unsubstantiated reports at this time that someone helped him get ammunition or offered some sort of material support. Again, UNSUBSTANTIATED! Whether they did or not doesn't concern me in making my judgment about the shooter. We never have perfect information on which to base a decision.
I also reserve the right to adjust my opinion accordingly as more information is gleaned. It's not carved in stone.

So, I hope you can see, I don't need one of you hackneyed lectures, such as about Luddites, on something that I already know about. I was being FACETIOUS.

I understood you were "being FACETIOUS", treating a serious subject (the "technology we have become saddled with") in a humorous way (the was a pretty good hint). And the phrase "average garden variety Luddite" is obviously a humorous instance of the oft used Luddite to refer to a technophobe. I have often used it myself when I got angry with some new technology. I don't remember why I googled Luddite before I replied to your previous post. I think I wanted to find out when they were active, but then I found Luddite Fallacy, and then Reverse Luddite Fallacy, and then the Timoney comment. I probably should have quoted only his first sentence, "The Luddites did not fear that they would be replaced by weaving machines, but that the new technology would be used to de-skill their job and thus force down wages." In other words, Luddites did not fear new technology, they feared the loss of income when mill owners introduced new technology. So our cliched use of Luddite for technophobe is a revision of history. For a non-hackneyed lecture about Luddites one might read:
https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/ae379k/luddites-definition-wrong-labor-technophobe
that starts:
You've Got Luddites All Wrong
Stop using the word 'Luddite'—unless you're talking about a powerful, anti-automation labor movement that struck fear into the heart of industry.

Like I said, I've heard only that the El Paso shooter "acted alone". I have heard that the Dayton shooter had a friend (since arrested) who purchased and stored the weapon, ammunition, and magazine used in the shooting. There is no confirmation that the friend was aware of its intended use.

As for Michelle Carter, I empathize (sympathize?) with her. My partner, wracked with pain, pleaded with me to help her suicide. After two sleepless days I consented and said "We can go together, feeding carbon monoxide into our car." Instead, she had me take her to the hospital. I wrote a limerick about it.

Before she died she tried suicide.
But hands knot tied denied. So she cried
To me for aid. Betrayed.
I held the blade. Evade?
Oh yes I tried, and lied. Still she died.

Is there any substance to this answer?
Have I hedged my bets here?
Or have I made a cream pie to be thrown?

I'm not sure what you consider to be The MSM. On cable, I think of Fox, CNN, and MSNBC. Since these are businesses, I assume their main (maybe only) value is to make money for their shareholders. They do this by grabbing heads and selling them to advertisers. Each of these three have found ways of grabbing particular sets of heads.
You wrote, "one of their latest statements was the President wants to exterminate all Mexicans". Can you provide a link or is this just a bit of hyperbole?
Regarding wind arrows, I enjoy using Google's English to Latin/Latin to English translator in a sort of telephone game. I enter an English phrase or sentence and get the Latin translation, then translate back to English, then back to Latin, then back to English, and so on until it stabilizes.

So, starting with:
English: you can grab them by the pussy
Latin: Gloria tibi a iaculis
English: Wind from the darts
Latin: Ventus iaculis
English: Wind arrows
Latin: Ventus perforabunt sagittis
English: Wind arrows
Latin: Ventus perforabunt sagittis
English: Wind arrows

Or another:
English: grab them by the pussy
Latin: eos iaculis Gloria
English: those targeted Glory
Latin: qui targeted Gloria
English: He targeted Glory
Latin: Et targeted Gloria
English: The targeted Glory
Latin: Gloria in targeted
English: Glory to the targeted
Latin: Gloria in targeted
English: Glory to the targeted

Or another:
English: grab them by the penis
Latin: capto per colem
English: grab through the penis
Latin: capto per ipsum colem fluit
English: grab flows through the penis
Latin: per ipsum colem fluit iaculis
English: Football flowing through the penis
Latin: Per ipsum colem fluit eu
English: In the penis, flowing football
Latin: In ipsum colem fluit eu
English: In the penis, flowing football
Latin: In ipsum colem fluit eu
English: In the penis, flowing football

There you go, no hyperbole. And as far as your translations garbage, who cares.

I checked up on The Washington Examiner and found this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Examiner
Wherein I found:
The Examiner has been described as and is widely regarded as conservative.[5] When Anschutz first started the Examiner in its daily newspaper format, he envisioned creating a competitor to The Washington Post with a conservative editorial line. According to Politico, "When it came to the editorial page, Anschutz's instructions were explicit – he 'wanted nothing but conservative columns and conservative op-ed writers,' said one former employee."[3] The Examiner's writers have included Michael Barone, Tim Cavanaugh, David Freddoso, Tara Palmeri, Bill Sammon, Rudy Takala, and Byron York.

The Examiner endorsed John McCain in the 2008 presidential election[15] and Adrian Fenty in the Democratic primary for mayor in 2010.[16] On December 14, 2011, the newspaper endorsed Mitt Romney for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, publishing an editorial saying he was the only Republican who could beat Barack Obama in the general election.[17]

Anti-immigration stories
In January 2019, the Washington Examiner published a story with the headline, "Border rancher: 'We've found prayer rugs out here. It's unreal'." Shortly thereafter, President Donald Trump cited the story as another justification for a border wall amid the 2018-2019 federal government shutdown. The story in question cited one anonymous rancher who offered no evidence of these Muslim prayer rugs, such as photos. The story provided no elaboration on how the rancher knew the rugs in question were Muslim prayer rugs. The author of the story formerly worked as press secretary for the anti-immigration group Federation for American Immigration Reform. Stories of Muslim prayer rugs at the border are urban myths that have frequently popped up since at least 2005, but with no evidence to substantiate the claims.[18][19][20][21][22][23] The Examiner never issued a clarification or retracted the story.

In April 2019, Quartz reported that White House advisor Stephen Miller had been purposely leaking information on border apprehensions and asylum seekers to the Washington Examiner so that the paper would publish stories with alarming statistics that sometimes criticized DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, which he could then show to Trump and undermine her position. Nielsen was fired in April 2019 for reportedly not being sufficiently hawkish on immigration.[24][25]

False story about The New York Times
On June 20, 2019, the paper falsely reported that The New York Times had "fed information" to the FBI about Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law. The paper issued a major correction within a day. Prior to the correction, Trump tweeted, "Just revealed that the Failing and Desperate New York Times was feeding false stories about me, & those associated with me, to the FBI," which was retweeted over 20,000 times.[26][27]
--------------------------------
Is this supposed to be the link to a MSM outlet talking about President Trump wanting to exterminate Mexicans? Some "conservative" saying something about what MSM is saying something, is not an example of MSM saying something. Just as if I said you vowed your love for Hillary is not evidence of your devotion.

Have you ever seen the movie The Man in the White Suit? 1951, Alec Guinness. Very funny movie about An altruistic chemist who invents a fabric which resists wear and stain as a boon to humanity, but big business and labor realize it must be suppressed for economic reasons.

You've heard of the telephone game? One person whispers a message to another, who whispers to another,..., who whispers to a final person. The final person speaks the message and it is not the original.

This is a wonderful example of the telephone game.

Starting at 0:14 in the video segment with Nicolle Wallace talking with Paul Reyes:
Reyes: ...[Trump] warning people of the caravan in words like infestation. What do you do with an infestation? With an infestation the natural, what the [sic?] conclusion is to attempt an extermination. So there's very little distinction between his inciting this violence and the fact that it is now happening.
(Reyes says Trump talks about people in the caravan being an infestation. The natural conclusion is to attempt an extermination of the infestation.)
--------------------------------------------------
Then at 1:26:
Nicolle Wallace: You now have a president, as you said, talking about exterminating Latinos.
(Wallace misconstrues Reyes to have said, "You now have a president talking about exterminating Latinos".)
--------------------------------------------------
The Washington Examiner article titled "UPDATED: MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace claims Trump is 'talking about exterminating Latinos'", starts with:
MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace claimed that President Trump is "talking about exterminating Latinos" during her show Monday.
(The Washington Examiner misconstrues Wallace to have claimed, "President Trump is talking about exterminating Latinos".)
--------------------------------------------------
The Washington Examiner article concludes with:
UPDATE: Wallace took to Twitter on Tuesday evening to say she "misspoke" in her claims, writing, "I misspoke about Trump calling for an extermination of Latinos. My mistake was unintentional and I’m sorry. Trump’s constant assault on people of color and his use of the word 'invasion' to describe the flow of immigrants is intentional and constant."

I misspoke about Trump calling for an extermination of Latinos. My mistake was unintentional and I’m sorry. Trump’s constant assault on people of color and his use of the word “invasion” to describe the flow of immigrants is intentional and constant.

— Nicolle Wallace (@NicolleDWallace) August 7, 2019
(Wallace acknowledges her mistake and makes a correction.)

I mean one of their latest statements was the President wants to exterminate all Mexicans.
(billman6 misconstrues the Washington Examiner article (title?) as, MSM says the President wants to exterminate all Mexicans.)
--------------------------------------------------

Let's look at that sequence.

1. Reyes says Trump talks about people in the caravan being an infestation. And the natural conclusion is to attempt an extermination of the infestation.

2. Wallace misconstrues Reyes to have said, "You now have a president talking about exterminating Latinos".

3. The Washington Examiner misconstrues Wallace to have claimed, "President Trump is talking about exterminating Latinos".

4. Wallace acknowledges her mistake and makes a correction.

5. The Washington Examiner keeps up the article titled, UPDATED: MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace claims Trump is 'talking about exterminating Latinos'.

6. billman6 misconstrues the Washington Examiner article (title?) as, MSM says the President wants to exterminate all Mexicans.

It's interesting how Reyes talking about Trump referring to caravan people as an infestation naturally leads one to attempt an extermination of the infestation ends up with billman6 writing, "I mean one of their [MSM's] latest statements was the President wants to exterminate all Mexicans."
