Great video but lets wait and see what the President proposes on the gun control issue.

Nothing ever gets done about reducing mass killing. Here is my proposal--I'll probably get told where to stick it. Everybody should know about class 3 weapons permits right? Well-- place assault rifles in the class 3 category. extensive background and criminal check and psychological testing minimum age 21.

That sounds reasonable. I wish, tho, that we could get to the root of the problem. And it's not guns. Crazy people that snap are gonna destroy. Guns, knives, bombs, cars, trucks and so on. Any weapon will do. I think a very large part of this is that our communities are fragmented. Many people don't know or care to know their neighbors. Not as many strong religious communities either. Also, so many kids being raised in/by day care centers, because either both parents have to work, or dad is in the wind. Making connections in communities is key, I think. And strong family units, spanning generations. So sad how fast things have changed

. That is exactly why strong controls should be implemented. Society is not going to shape up

Criminals and those contemplating a crime, don't give a shit about permits or public sentiment. That latest California shooter that killed a cop? He was a convicted felon....for whom possessing ANY weapon was.....................illegal.
We cannot legislate our way out of this morass of hate or relieve our people of their love affair with violence.

So what you are saying is do absolutely nothing.

It would be nice if for once we could address the disease instead of always the symptoms, IMO.

What would you do?
Personal responsibility. People do NOT get off for crimes. You ARE responsible for your actions, and will be held responsible.
Throw PC out the window. Too many people are afraid to say anything.
GET INVOLVED. Too many people are afraid to get involved for various reasons, one of which is #2 above
Get rid of all these psychotropic drugs, especially for children.
Allow people to shun those who consistently behave badly (again, see #2)
At work, can't do more, but you get the idea

This is an example of a broken society when we have people ignorant enough to think that the economy can be beat up with the idiotic policies Trump has been barraging it with and not be destabilized. He has world trade in shambles, Russia being a big winner picking up slack.
