Great rapport between you two, both informative and charming. Nice to see we can have fun disagreeing.
Hey I am a hell of a nice guy. Just ask me, I'll tell you.
Hooey. Carefully crafted misrepresentation. As usual.
The broadbased program eligibility means that no matter how much
in excess of normal SNAP limits your income may be, as long as you qualify for some other assistance program, you are automatically
eligible for SNAP. It's crazy, but true. The change is simple, and rational.
It simply says in order to qualify for SNAP, your income has to be
within SNAP's limits, not some other program's. So some not-so-bad off
Mom is going to have to pack her kid a lunch. Big deal. It's what my mom did. Nobody's going to go hungry because of this change, Rumi.
Uh, Kemmer, a little remedial math for you.
$480 a month divided by $15/hour = 32 hours. A month.
Anybody who thinks they should be able to provide a
comfortable life for a family of four working only 32 hours per month
is way over on the moron end of the socialist spectrum.
But perhaps it was a simple slip, and you really meant $480
for a 32 hour week. A guy or gal who thinks they should be able
to provide a comfortable life for a family of four on a minimum
wage job, whatever the minimum wage is, is a moron, and a lazy, irresponsible bum to boot.

It is not simple and rational; it is an attempt to suppress and punish the needy. "So some not-so-bad off
Mom is going to have to pack her kid a lunch." How indecently obscene. It means that some families that mange to save some money to get off assistance are overly taxed and diminishes their ability to be free of welfare.
