You overlook that all the "good results" were began under Obama's administration. Were it up to Trump, your children would be suffering emphysema or whooping cough from dirty smoke from all the coal mining plants -that just aren't coming back no matter how many lies Trump tells you. sad. and pathetic.

You sure do hate coal. I hope you like high electric bills.

And the biggie, coal is black, so it's a racist issue with you too.

You are entitled to your opinion J. But you can't convince me that Trump is not a racist. Yes, there are many such racists in America and definitely in our politics, and I don't excuse nor condone them either. Trump is the current president, and as such, he's supposed to be the moral leader for ALL Americans - not just those with white skin. Also, as a Christian, I don't "hate" Trump. I just disagree with much of what he deliberately does to keep the country divided. Whatever happened to "one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all?
You are entitled to your opinion J. But you can't ... (show quote)

I don't see a racist at all. I see a narcissist blow hard. It's not just Trump being unpresidential, the entire political discourse has gotten crude and unprofessional. Were you O.K. with one of the so called squad calling Trump a motherf**ker at a rally with women and children? She's a congress woman. Real classy, huh? I believe Obama divided us more than Trump. he did it much more smoothly, but he was definitely a force of division. His entire history, from his early writings to his books authored by Bill Ayers were full of latent racism. you don't see it because you like him.

It could. Instead of burning coal we could go burn wood in those power plants. Wood is renewable and a green fuel. Of course it would take a lot of wood, but that would employ a lot of workers. Wait a minute. Didn't America once rely almost totally on wood for it's energy needs until dirty coal came in ? Coal saved the forests. I know, I know, lets us go back to burning coal and save the trees.

Well electricity almost grew on trees. Am I the only one who thinks these things through ? Like dirty oil. Oil saved the Whales back in the day, and no one remembers.

Eagle likes trying to credit me with things he finds swimming around in his noggin. Even an idiot knows that electricity comes from the walls in your house - not from trees! What a doofus.

If electricity comes from the walls of your house, as you say it does and I know you to be an honest man, then you have forever dis-proven man made global warming. The power flowing out of my wall sockets emits no greenhouse gases as it flows.

But lets us get back to trees. You are right. electricity does not grow on trees. Everyone knows that only money grows on trees. Ask my wife and kids. Everyone night as they sleep, Dad picks as much money as he needs and puts it into his wallet.

Now you're spouting just plain ol crap. Air moves. World wide. It's called wind. China has kept right on building coal fired plant after plant. We are reducing the emissions by burning cleaner coal and the natural take over of natural gas; a much cleaner burning fuel. More people got jobs and less people lost them.

What, exactly, is a coal mining plant

Flies do fly, Judi.
Then they land.
How much time have you spent on a turd lately?
We know it is a favorite landing spot of yours.

I'm still waiting to see the results from all the coal mines Trump promised to re-open because, you know, wind energy causes cancer right? Yes you're right, air is often called the "wind" and that green stuff growing out of the ground is often called "grass." China continues to build coal firing plants because it pleases them to do so.....but like your mom once asked you, "so, if a fool jumps off a bridge without a safety net are you going to do it too?"

Give up this debate you’re sounding foolish. Have you given up your car, heat, air conditioning? If not you’re a hypocrite. Competition will replace coal. It’s a natural progression. Those damn windmills are inefficient and the biggest raptor killers on the planet.

I say you do not really know what you are talking about. Not about history, and sadly not about energy, and you really really have no clue about renewable energy and coal in China.

Lets us start with a basic. How do any of us know whether something is worth doing ? I mean big stuff. I mean economic stuff like building energy producing plants. Well the best way is to see whether it makes a profit. You see, that was the huge advantage the Capitalist United States had over it's Socialist rival the Soviet Union. In a Capitalist nation if something in the long run makes a profit that is good. If it takes a loss that is bad.

In Soviet Russia they had expert bureaucrats making the decisions that EVIL CAPITALISTS in America made. The flaw in the Social Soviet system is there is no feedback loop to the decision makers. So if they build a factory making something nobody wants, they don't know it. In the US if what you make doesn't sell, you better make something else or you will fail. You cannot hide from failure as your goods pile up unsold in warehouses. Profit is the best feedback channel to the decision makers.

So lets us look at Wind Power in China. Some of it is impressive. However, a lot of the plants cannot deliver their power because they can't get it to the grid. Even the ones operating as they had hoped are losing money. With out Guvment subsidies, big ass guvment subsidies they would fail. Also because of the intermittent quality of wind power you must build an alternative source plant at twice the capacity of your wind plant. How freaking wasteful is THAT ?
