When did the people give Congress the right to set it's own pay and benefits, work schedule and vacation days? It didn't happen all at once, but it happened none the less. I'm reminded of the "way to boil a frog", which is to raise the temp gradually so the frog doesn't catch on..................we're the frogs.

Now, people act like there's nothing they can do to stop the stupid shit.....which is exactly what those perpetrating the stupid shit want them to think. How did women gain the right to vote? It certainly wasn't because a bunch of male lawmakers woke up one day and decided it was time, no, a great many women suffered physical and mental abuse for years to see it done. Black people won the RIGHT to vote at the end of slavery, but it took another century, and much blood, sweat and tears to see them ALLOWED to vote.

King George didn't give us our independence, we fought and bled and died for it. Business magnates didn't give their workers the right to collectively bargain, they fought, bled and died for that right. Anyone see a pattern here?

The only things we're given today are - the runaround, packs of lies, excuses, threats and at the end of the day..............................a huge ass bill our great grand children will have to pay. Why complain, there's nothing we can do about that, right? Well, there is, but it will take some gumption, some time and yes, some suffering, but it CAN be done.......................because we've done it before.

I am NOT talking about signing on to some political party's agenda, which is absolutely anathema to getting control of our Government back, because the people fronting for those parties....................are the problem, not the solution. Every political party has only one goal with multiple prongs; the goal is to get/keep power for their OWN benefit, by keeping the people running around worrying about shit that doesn't amount to much AND making the people believe their party is going to fix some stuff. If any party was actually able to, or more accurately, cared to, fix some stuff, they'd have been fixing the hell out of stuff already.

We can't do anything about the out of control Congress, Judicial system, administrative branch or the major political parties...........................because we're either too lazy to do it, or we just don't want to pay the price.

That's why President Trump is engaged in an uphill battle 24/7 -- he isn't one to kick a can down a road when he can address a problem and find a fix for it.

This is a matter of great concern for the Washington establishment, because the more things he actually repairs, the less broken things career politicians will have to run on "fixing" decade after decade.

If Democrat voters were smart enough to realize what we actually have in a Trump presidency and actually wanted to see the broken stuff fixed, they would tune out the Democratic Debate (vipers eating vipers) Clown Show® and vote to reelect Trump, along with senators and reps who will work with him, in 2020.

But, like too many Republican voters, they will vote to reelect the same life-long swamp critters.

At least you've left old gloom at home now all you have to do is kick doom in the keyster and you might have a great day: sm09: everyone is going to vote for whoever they feel is right I just hope they don't just stay home and blame everyone else if the one they wanted doesn't win and I know you think we're wrong but Trump is trying to help this country and its people. He hasn't done anything like what the democratic party is saying no he isn't an angel but neither is anyone else if your honest. No one voted for an Angel they voted for a businessman to get this country off its knee's and back on its feet and he'd do a hell of a lot better if the dems would do their job and meet him halfway and find a way to work together. What their doing wolf isn't in the interest of us it's all about them and keeping the all-mighty dollar in their pockets. If they gave a hoot about the American people they wouldn't be for open borders and they would build a wall!

Wolf would never admit that you are right, but we know you are right. It's sad to see what they want to do to our country but Democrats along with some very spineless Republicans and RINO's just think about themselves and where they will benefit. Nothing about we the people.

We need a third party, complete with term limits. It is very obvious that neither party gives two hoots about us, the taxpayers. It almost always comes down to voting for the lesser of two evils. And to complicate the issue, once they are elected they join the "screw the public, I'm going to get rich by taking lobbyist's money club.
