As for "And Making America great AGAIN, means respecting the rule of law, which makes civilization possible, rather than ignoring lawlessness for a political agenda that benefits your party, but destroys the country.". So, you agree with the Democrats then? You are aware that Trump has been ignoring the "rule of law" since... Well... Since BEFORE he ever ran for president, but more importantly, SINCE he became president as well.

As for "So no, America isn't great, AGAIN, yet. The decades of leftist corruption- legal, political, and cultural still need a lot of correcting.". Interesting ATTEMPT there. You are aware that there has been far more corruption under Republican administrations than under Democratic administrations right? How many indictments and convictions have there been under Democratic administrations compared to how many under Republican administrations? We can see that you definitely toe that party line and keep abreast of all the latest talking points, don't you? Promoting lies, even if they are among your party's talking points, it doesn't help your credibility any. I highly recommend you dig a bit deeper and discover the actual truth and then choose the talking points you wish to promote based upon which ones stand up factually.

Our political system, however you like to criticize the existing (meaning the way it's been structured and constitutionalized) for the last 243 years, remains the best in the world.

Communism and its stepchild, socialism, are the antitheses of our free society. In essence, they are our enemies in that no matter what those who promote them promise, experience had taught those of us who are smart enough to learn from history that they inevitably lead to corrupt, oppressive government, poverty and misery.

Ask the average Argentinian, or the average immigrant from s former Communist Bloc country.

Is Having said that, let's look briefly at three stark similarities between the platform today's left leaning Democrats offer and what every single Communist country has practiced.

1. Repression/attacks on the practice of Christianity (here, Christians face legal action for placing their religious beliefs over doing that which they consider sinful.

The left in this country has gone do far as to label Christians as a "hate" group, bar all traces of Judeo-Christian belief from public venues under the falsehood of "seperating church and state" and even ban voluntary prayer from schools.

In a Communist state, they engage in the same practices, only being totalitarian, they don't have to worry about public opinion*. Their reason, like that of the left here in America, whose ultimate goal is a similarly powerful and intrusive government, is to prevent belief in G-d from standing between the people and the total authority of the state.

2. Here in the U.S., the Democratic Party is relentlessly attempting to diminish, with the eventual goal of doing away with altogether, our Second Amendment rights in their thinly veiled attempt to disarm the public.

In every totalitarian nation in modern history, the same thing has been done so that (at least in theory, since criminals will still have them) only the government will have firearms.

3. Propagandizing of the media and education system, which speaks for itself both in any totalitarian (Communist, socialist) country or here in America at the hands of the Democratic Party, who control the education system and have the MSM as their personal PR firm.

your first sentence, "Our political system, however you like to criticize the existing (meaning the way it's been structured and constitutionalized) for the last 243 years, remains the best in the world.", disqualifies your entire rant.

I have not once criticized how our political system is set up and since you make an obvious and blatant false accusation in your first sentence, you whole rant is ignored. Great job showing your ignorance and dishonesty.

Wrong. If common sense did matter to you you'd be able to put the pieces together and see what was happening. His post had a lot of truth whether you like it or not.

Funny how you typically call others posts rants. lol

That wasn't a "rant," it was an informed observation.

However...

Every argument you ever pose supports every left wing agenda that comes down the pike, without exception, or opposes whatever positions have been posted by any conservatives.

You then (very transparently) do as all "progressives" do, pretend to be an objective, unbiased "voice of reason."

This is a well worn technique of the left, who repeatedly push us toward a totalitarian political destination while honey-coating their intentions because they know most Americans would want no part of what their end game would be.

The 3 examples I posted are totally accurate, as is my own opinion that you are basically a pseudo-intellectual phony -- if it walks like a duck...

He lost me at the false accusation and I didn't bother with any of the rest of the post. If people don't want their post ignored, they need to back off false accusations that aren't based on any facts or even a logical assumption even. Fast way to have your post ignored.

Everything I posted is factual -- if you were so "thoughtful," there would occasionally, even over some distant trivial issue, be at least one tiny iota of something or other posted by a conservative that you wouldn't take umbrage with.

However, that is not the case, so it becomes obvious that you are the class of "progressive" who believe that by telling people you are essentially middle-of-the-road and receptive to all arguments that your input will carry more gravity.

I find that "progressives" overall believe that they are more intellectually advanced than the average, everyday American, particularly us "deplorables," and therefore more difficult to see through when fabricating your credentials as ultra-reasonable, flexible thinkers.

Yes there were 5 states where abortion was legal pre-1973. That doesn't change the fact that Roe V Wade was bad law, even the left admits it, (it's why they fear a challenge so badly.) And NO legal decision will make abortion any less savage, barbaric and uncivilized. But you on the left do crave that power of life and death, especially when the target of your death sentence can in no way fight back. And no I do not agree with the Democrat/socialists. It wasn't President Trump that first weaponized the IRS to rig the 2012 elections, then because Obama got away with it, he fully expected to cheat Hillary into office by weaponizing the intelligence and law enforcement agencies, in the worst seditious, corruption and abuse of power scandal in U.S. history. Granted there are many RINOs in Congress who are if not just as corrupt as the Democrat/socialists, they're certainly close. President Trump has not ignored the rule of law, your claim that he has is simply your opinion, which as an American you are entitled to, unless the Democrat/socialists regain power in which case our liberties will be under the usual assault that leftism/socialism/Marxism/communism has historically forced on populations they control. As for any loss of credibility because I reject the false narratives of the left and have the nerve to say so, I don't let that bother me in the least. It is the Democrat/socialists and RINOs who were willing to secure the border during Obama's presidency, (at least they claimed they were going to,) but really they were lying as usual. After all Pelosi, Schummer and the RINOs could hardly say they wanted 25 billion dollars to secure the border WITH some of that money going to erect barriers under Obama and actually do it, they all understood that it was business as usual, lying so the American public would think the rule of law meant something to them. Then for months as 5,000 illegals A DAY streamed across the border, with the help of criminal cartels, (I guess the Democrat/socialists and RINOs are in fact in league with these cartels, talk about ignore the rule of law when you partner with criminal cartels,) they could close the asylum loopholes, and appropriate money to help our overwhelmed Border Patrol, but of course they don't, (for months they outright lied and said there was NO crisis at the border,) talk about a loss of credibility. It is a shame that Democrat/socialists leadership and their accomplices and collaborators in the media have stoked this deranged hatred of President Trump to the point that they themselves are so poisoned they are rabid in their hatred.

Name a country that has a more desirable political system than Amer -- wait, what am I saying? You'll probably say Cuba, or Venezuela...

...Seriously, though, ours is the best political system in the world, its only flaw unforeseen by the founders; that our First Amendment could one day be used against us by a subversive force, as it has today.

That force, in which you are apparently a believer, has succeeded in infiltrating our education system, taking over the lion's share of the media and bought & paid for the Democratic Party. Leftism.

Previously, our political system, in under two centuries, was a primary reason we became the richest, most powerful nation in history, why our invention, innovation and Judeo-Christian foundation has benefitted much if the planet and why we are the most sought after migration destination.

Our constitution provides for more liberty than other countries' and allows our visionaries the room they need to build on their dreams, creating better lives and livelihoods for the many.

If you're an American and even one tenth as intelligent as you seem to believe you are, you shouldn't even question this.

But like I said, the founders never anticipated the kind of treachery we now face from an enemy within that is trying its best to drag us into the corrupt misery of socialism and a "New World Order," which is what those politicians you and your fellow leftward travelers endorse are all about.

Spot on article, I've been a fan of Mona Charen for many years.

Revisionist history is a hallmark of the Democrats' propaganda campaign. They've rewritten the history they teach our youth, when they bother to teach American History at all, to reflect the social justice and identity politics issues that they employ as political weapons today.

And to a far too large extent, they've been allowed to get away with it.
