Give him credit...for what? Giving the nastiest psychotic dictator alive credibility he never had? For talking about him like he is a great guy?

But mainly for giving him a free pass to do whatever he wants?

Trump's "friends" have an easy to spot pattern...Putin, the Saudi prince MSB, Kim Jong Un, Erdogan...etc, etc. Dictators, on the wrong side of the free world and democracy.
After the Civil War, a wealthy old dowager confronted President Lincoln when he announced his wishes to reconcile with the southerners. She admonished him, saying the rebels were his enemies and should be destroyed. Abe said, "Madam, do I not destroy my enemies by making them my friends?"

I know the concept is probably way over your mush filled head, but president Trump is under no illusions about how dangerous dictators are to world peace. The most dangerous are the NK rocket man, the Iranian mullahs, and Xi of China. Putin and Erdogan are somewhere down the list. The Saudi princes are no threat. President Trump is trying, against formidable odds, to approach these dangerous leaders and defang them in one of two ways. Both of which are completely alien to progressives. If you really think Trump is going to
give Kim Un a "free pass to do whatever he wants" you are in for a rude awakening.
