Different people are thinking and talking about different things. Some...like Obama rejected the concept of writing checks to people several generations away from slaves. It's not what it's about, and you can't be an intelligent part of a conversation until you understand that this is about looking at options, not writing checks.

If the cost of welfare given to blacks over the years is deducted from any reparations authorized, the cost to current taxpayers shouldn't be more that a couple bucks at most..
