Definition: The White House press secretary is a senior White House official whose primary responsibility is to act as spokesperson for the executive branch of the United States government administration, especially with regard to the president, senior executives, and policies.
The description says nothing about being honest to the public or hospitable to the Press. Nor does it say that it is meant to keep the nation properly informed and updated on domestic and global events effecting our lives and the nation. Shouldn't it be?
What do you think "spokesperson for the executive branch of the United States government administration" should mean and do? What guidelines for their actions need to be established? Are they just there to promote and protect the president? Or do they have a deeper obligation to American citizens?

The idiot Pumpkinfuhrer should change the title to propaganda minister.
With Trump, there is no need for Press releases.
Trump's press secretary has nothing to do, things are getting too hot on a daily basis.

We really do not need a WH press secretary for this reason. She/he feeds what the president and administration are doing to the media. That is simply unnecessary, THEY MAKE CRAP UP!!!! so let them go nuts (they already are) with conspiracy theories, we'll get our news from where we always have and often not trust it. For me its AP, different web sites and newsletters and guys I served with.
