Tale of 2 States....
I have family there, and they hate it, but won't move back home due to age, and their grandkids, and great grandkids being there.
My uncle there paid close to the same price for a 1400sq ft house there as my brother did in Dallas for a 3600Sq ft house.
That speaks out loud to me!
No wonder yall have a turd on every sidewalk!

There's classy folks all over.

You're right! Except up North. In Milwaukee, and Chiraq, they'll let the door slam in your face if you're walking in, or out behind them. We don't do that here. We hold the door for the next guy/gal. And say thank you when it's done for us.

Absolutely! For the most part we have proper behavior here too.

I like the slow, quiet life myself. That's why I live in the country. I don't have to risk arrest for peeing outside!
One drawback that I've recently discovered is that with all of the rain, my lawn has shaped up nicely, and there's nobody to tell to get off it.
You should know... So, uh, why do you stay there?

Son, sister, what do they need you for? It seems she has plenty of support already, no?

they will have to secede and bring the western half of America with them as the 5th largest economy in the world..
According to
Texas v White 1869, a state cannot secede from the Union. It says nothing about the Union seceding from the state.
I lived just north of the CA line in Oregon back in '79. California sucked even then. As a truck driver I've been all over the state in the eighties, and you can have it.

I dunno. I do know that there are not very many hills in Florida. It's flat, and that's a fact, hence the lack of hillbillies.
I've always had a thing for those flatlanders from places like Florida and Texas where I was born and raised. But the flatlands - not so much. I'll take hills and mountains any day over flatlands.
As for Cali or Florida beaches, I like Florida's better. In Cali a day at the beach means you go to the beach, hang out, look at the water and go home. No need to even don a swimsuit because the water is too cold to go swimming. Heck, even San Diego beaches are so cold that that's where Navy Seals train and lots of them quit because the water is just too cold.
In Florida, bring your swimsuit or trunk because you'll spend the day swimming in inviting waters.
