Are you somehow attempting to tie Christian its to the persecution of homosexuality?

Do you deny that? Even now in 2019, my own church says I am “objectively disordered” and am living in grave sin because I have been with my partner for 44 years.

Even homosexuals are forgiven if they repent.

Not of the condition of having homosexual impulses. But of acting out on those homosexual impulses.

Get serious. For me to "repent" of loving my partner these 44 years would be commensurate to a straight man rejecting and repenting of loving his wife for the same period. I am not in the least "repentant" and I find even the concept grotesque.

Shakespeare said it; "to be or not to be; That is the question.
It is all perspective.

It is all perspective.
And nothing will be settled unless and until people recognized the existence of more than one perspective.

Deny?
No...
But its roots pre-date Christianity by thousands of years...
Aversion to homosexuality is as old as humanity...
44 years is a long time... Congratulations...
I have just rounded the 15 year mark myself... Married 10...
If one follows the tenets of any of the Abrahamic religions one must accept that homosexuality is a sin... There is no picking and choosing... Although there is certainly a great deal of hypocrisy...
No judgement from me...
I with you well...

Yep.
There are many perspectives; including the perspective of the one down under, Satan.
