I'm a aftrade the people you mention would never vote for term limits .
Too many like Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri. Years ago, he started honest and did a good job for his constituents and over time he went rogue and now there is no way to replace him.

I hear people say we need term limits and politicians should have the same healthcare and they should have to obey the laws they pass! And the list goes on,on.
NOW ask yourself this why do I think voteing the same people in over and over will change anything.
You want term limits why not vote out every one who has served 8 years regardless of party.
At some point they may get the message. No one should think congress is a life time job.

There is something about not changing horses in the middle of the stream. Continuity has its benefits. However, when indicating a change there has to be someone to be that change. Mostly voting for someone in the other party is the only change available.
Making the system more receptive to those who show an interest in running for office would go a long way in creating change.

I agree with most of that......however, One must consider the "IQ", of the electorate....Obviously, Maxine Waters, Nasty Pelosi, Schumer, Shila Jackson Lee, Schiff, Politicians, in Californication......all these "so called politicians", are inept, corrupt, & ineffective, for the electorate......"BUT".....the 'electorate", must be somewhat responsible for their representation, & they aren't smart enough to realize they aren't "smart enough.....to take the responsibility to vote!.....{ kinda a conundrum, "catch 22", & so on}

I think that you probably associate freebies with the poor. The major freebies go to big business paid for by political donations to those incumbents that we need to get rid of.
Says the guy who probably "votes his lifestyle" as the on the dole say. Cmon

I agree. When new blood comes in now I think they all start out wanting to do good but what happens is they get sucked into the machine created by career politicians and lobbyists.

YEP. And by the time they're in a position to do any good they've been corrupted

I totally agree, but it will never happen. You know if a black candidate is running all the blacks vote for him/her regardless of skills or knowledge. Look at long Maxine Waters has been in Congress. The same thing is true of women voting for a female candidate just because it's a woman, regardless of abilities. And, of course, everyone getting our freebies vote for Democrats because they are the source of the freebies. The only thing we can possibly do is make term limits legal and permanent in order to limit the time politicians have to screw us over. But that is taking so long moving through the required process that I'm afraid our country will be beyond saving by the time it happens, if it actually ever does.

I totally agree... but... Like here in Arizona, When McCain was alive it was him or some new world order, open border Democrat. I hated McCain but he was better than selling the country down the drain with some lefty commie. No one would oppose McCain so what choice did we have? McCain owned that seat. It's easy to say, don't vote for the self serving incumbent, but in reality, sometimes there is no other choice. That is where term limits would do wonders.

It also lies in that it is hard to vote incumbents out of office by new comers. Mike
You got that right except in the AOC case and the Muslims.
