This is a dog who was obviously dumped out here by someone, and is living down on the creek near us. We've been trying to coax him in for 2 days now with no luck. We gave him food, and fresh water, so maybe if we keep it up, he'll come around. At least he'll be fed.
Every time we drive by, he comes out of the brush with a hopeful look, but he's scaird and hungry, and just doesn't know.
This really breaks my heart, and fills me with anger! Anyone who can do this to a dog doesn't deserve to live in my opinion!!

Aweee, what a beautiful dog!!!...How sad and disgusting that some lowlife would treat this innocent dog like this!!!...Disgusting!!!....
We're gonna keep trying with him! If he's still there, he'll have breakfast in the morning, and supper in the evening. Maybe he'll come to trust us.
He's obviously out of his element, and starving. Makes us sick!

Archie, please don't give up. Wife an I have saved dogs for years. The best one was a Pit Bull someone dumped at our road gate. My wife drove to the gate one Sunday morning and this pup about two or three months old was at the gate and would not let her get out of the car. My wife came back to the house and got me and we took feed and water back. I got some 20 feet from the pup and left the food and water. About two hours later my wife went back to the gate and when she opened the car door, the pup jumped into the car and licked her. Scared my wife half to death. We had that pup for 14 years and she took care of the ranch and us. When she died, I cried most of the day.

Looks like a nice dog...
Some folk don't deserve to breath...
Keep it up and I'm sure he will come around....
If you find who did it we can play a round of tennis....
This just confirms what I already knew, Arch...you're a good man
I hope all turns out right for that dog.

What a Beautiful dog. You gotta save him if you can. I've found that if you spend some time with the strays they become more comfortable with you. he may have been abused and distrusts humans which might take a little longer for him to get used to you. Hope you don't have large predators where you live.

He looks at least part pit bull. He has ribs showing so he has been hungry for awhile. Good luck. It likely will take a long time to make any progress. He has good reason to distrust people.

You might try putting yesterday's tee-shirt under the food bowl, introduce yourself and your intentions.
Remember, most dogs are smarter, and more friendly, than most people.

It might be good to put a de-wormer in with the food too.
Gatsby's right. Put a t short with your odor on it when you feed.
They have a great sense of smell as we all know.😀

There are a number of products available through your vet, or in some cases through organic suppliment suppliers that might work on calming the dog down, including CBD oil, which is very effective with many dogs, as well as useful for people. Might look into them, it might help.

We went back down there, and got closer. He is very distrustful, and skittish, but he may come around.
My wife is going to call our vet tomorrow and let them know what's up, and that he's going straight there after we catch him. We can get this done, I think, if the coyotes, or bobcats don't get him. Or, some asshole runs him over.
All great ideas! Thank yall! We wanna save this guy!
Looks like he's calming down.
Nice looking dog...
