Maybe, maybe not. But just because it is a majority doesn't mean they are right. Take for example Hillary's majority popular vote in 2016. A clear case of the majority being wrong. Thank God for the electoral college.

Actually broad use of polling shows that over 70% of americans want roe v wade left alone.

I don't think god has anything to do with gerrymandering and suppressing votes in red controlled states that have less than a majority of registered voters.
A true popular vote actually will offset GOP controlled red states with more democrats than republicans. Let electoral votes be split according to the vote in every state at the very least. Large states small states, let the electoral reflect each state's people, 50/50 states that are running neck and neck should not have all the electoral going one way, especially in larger states.
