Wearing the clothes that Ivanka has does not mean she is promoting her products. How do you expect her to do? She wears her outfit because that is how she fixes herself. Prior years she has been wearing those clothes. She is beautiful, and everything she uses fits her well. So, what do you guys expect her to do?

She has excellent taste, and her personality carries them all to the best. Jealous? People always want to destroy.

JoyV had asked for some links stating the Trumps using government links to promote their products. I provided these much earlier in the thread upon her request, but she seemed to have missed them. People will make what they will of them.

These links are NOT links to a government page which sells or promotes their products.

But look at the claim. Wearing clothes from her own fashion designed means the White House is promoting her business? If so, everyone in a high position in government who wears clothes is promoting the designer or provider of those clothes. So are you in favor of government transparency to include nudity?

I took a look. I don't consider Snopes the most reliable site but it is a good start. The other sites you offered seem to be Opinion sites and such. I didn't see government sites.

As I recall, Kelly Anne Conway was reprimanded for telling people to buy Ivanka's line. She goofed and admitted it. I think it recently happened again and she was put on notice for it. But she didn't try to hide it or lie about it.

If this is the worse scandal the Democrats can find on the Trump Family, they are in deep doo-doo. It's time to throw away the Constitution (the progressive leftist socialists don't want to use it; they tried to rewrite it long ago)) and let the socialists just have their way in this country. What's the use of fighting their morally superior position. The crooked Republicans might as well just turn over the Executive branch of government to Pelosi, Schumer, and the rest of the Democratic party and admit they were wrong. They might as well vacate all their court appointments as well. The Democrats will want it all for their new utopian dream. We can all quit working and let the government take care of use. We can live as well as they do in Cuba, or better yet, Venezuela. It will be wonderful!

Yeah, it's not as if she bribed or threatened anyone to give these things to her.

At least Melania isn't forcing school kids to stuff their faces with crap they cannot stomach.

Blade, from 1980 on, I regularly went to school lunches with two generations...my kids and grandkids. It was rare to see students eat much of anything except their pack lunches from home. Unless you fed them candy or junk food, most turn their noses at anything put in front of 'em. Most breakfasts/lunches went into the garbage can.

BTW, I ate in those school cafeterias and had no problem with the same food.

Exactly like the left with Obama. You want the left to be different but they’re not

Once again, as I stated earlier, I was only responding to a request from JoyV. As I remember from reading the articles, upon being called to the carpet for their supposed indiscretions, they stopped. Fair enough, but as I wrote...people will make what they will of 'em. I say let it go.

I'm not going to open up every single site from your google search. You made the assertion. It is up to you to provide the evidence when requested. I did check on the first three sites but none had anything to back up their claims. So unless you provide the government site which on which the alleged activity is happening, I will consider this fake news.

As to the snopes link, they also did not provide a link to her gov page. The snopes page said the jewelry line is mentioned in her bio and declares that means the assertion that she is promoting her business is mostly true. REALLY!!!! Should her bio leave out significant things she did in her life? The line was mentioned in the when telling of where and when she designed jewelry, just as where and when she worked in other venues and where and when she participated in volunteer work. It mentioned specific schools she attended. Does that mean she was promoting those schools? It mentioned counties she had visited. Does that mean she is promoting those countries? It mentioned modeling jobs and for what publications she did. Does that mean she is promoting those publications? THESE ARE BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS!!!!! But even though Snopes couldn't figure out how to link her gov page to back up the claim; here it is. https://www.whitehouse.gov/people/melania-trump/

So where is the promotion?

What of it. Michele Obama's school lunch program wasn't in force in the 80s. Her program was a failure not only because many more children refused to eat the school provided lunches, but they were in many cases less nutritious. They were restrictive of meat despite that there are certain nutrients and essential amino acids especially critical in growing children that are either more prevalent in meat or in some cases ONLY found in meat. Many of these are important in brain development. And the program required children drink skim or 2% milk. Studies have shown whole milk is healthier for multiple reason. First, low fat milk lacks the balance between fat and sugar so drinking it increases the sugar uptake to your blood. This may lead to type 2 diabetes. Then there is the fact that when your body takes in fat, it triggers hormones which make you feel satisfied and you eat less. Low fat milk leads to cravings of the fat you have denied it. Children wind up eating other fatty foods, like fast food and snacks which will often be far less nutritious.

Here are some nutrients only found in meat products.
1) Vitamin B12
2) Creatine
3) Carnosine
4) cholecalciferol (vitD3) Most health/nutrition sites claim skim and low fat milk contains VitD. But studies have found most samples of skim and low fat milk have ZERO vitD. Whole milk and baby formula is often fortified. But skim milk and low fat milk rarely is.
5) Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)
6) Heme-iron Only in meat and predominantly red meat.
7) Taurine

Here are ones mostly found in meat products but can also be found in a lesser degree soy and some to a slight degree in other plant sources..
1) Isoleucine
2) Leucine
3) Lysine
4) Methionine
