Great points! There has been times that someone is grumpy with me and if I know the person I will ask what is going on. If I do not know the person, I acknowledge them and tell them that I made a mistake or I simply say opps, I smile, they smile, everyone goes on with the smile and perhaps a better mood. That is a quick way to defuse any bad situation. If kindness does not work, the I just keep on turkin....

In days past I have not always said or done the right thing either.

In life a few timely calm words can make a big difference.

From what I can see no one bit you head off.

The way I look at it there is more than enough harsh tings happening. The more times we interact with people & can have a kind word or a pleasant smile the better things turn out.

Yep.

You never now what weird junk floats around in ones head.

Out of now where my thought was of a llama spiting in some ones eye.

Now where did I see that llama? or was it a camel that would do that.

I think that I had better take my wife out for a snack.

 "My" llamas have better manners than I do, or better control of their tempers than I do. Mine only spit at each other, not humans. Now, other folks' llamas? They have spit on me, and twasn't nice.

Okay. I see this in one way, in that you were wrong on many levels, you see it as your right. Good luck. I hope the next time you do this, you do not run up against someone who takes exception to your solution and uses something at their disposal because you responded inappropriately. I know if a person was to follow me and "makes sure" that I know they are following, I would feel threatened. I would even consider calling the police.

I am known in my neighborhood as the guy to call for help. I have several elderly around me. When certain ne'er do wells in the neighborhood act up I talk to the offenders and let them know the situation with the older folks. If that doesn't work I go home put on my leathers and ride my motorcycle around the neighborhood for a bit. Things quiet down then. and that is all I do.

Not everyone goes out each day unafraid; you are blessed. Did you know that permits to carry concealed weapons has skyrocketed in the past 2 years; http://www.legallyarmed.com/ccw_statistics.htm
It is a relief, because I do think you can be nice, that you have no plans of doing this again in the near future, because God knows that it would be a surprise for you if you did actually scare some one into "sh&*%" their pants as you described this person, they may have a permit and then they just might use it. Most state laws says self defense can be used if a person has reasonable belief that they are going to be harmed. I do hope that you are truthful when you say you will be "nice."

You do realize that you are overly defending your actions.

Kitten is now in anger management class, making progress. So glad that you pointed this out. I had just though it was kittens playing, but great observation. I hope his replacement meets with your approval.

I believe AuntiE will confirm that I think this is my favorite avatar of the feline persuasion. Adorable! :-D

Did I use AuntiE ... you did not like the other one so I grabbed one off of cute animals. I will immediately change it. Thank you for the heads up on my unintentional theft.

Ginnyt, no where did I insinuate I didn't like the other one. If you had noticed the emoticons, you should have drawn the conclusion that I was making light of things...no harm intended. Neither did I accuse you of theft. I simply said AuntiE would confirm how much I liked that particular picture. Why would you read into my comments as you did? There was absolutely no animosity in my tone. Again, check the emoticons.

I don't understand the mood of your responses.

Please don't change your avatar. It is reminiscent of someone I used to date. At least it looks like her, after a night of imbibing. Boy could she give big kisses, so big one would almost drown before extricating themselves from her clutches.

No worries. I did see the avatar as the one kitten being somewhat aggressive. The second one, was a quick grab. Had I remembered that AuntiE had it, I would have moved on and gotten another. I doubt that anyone has used this one....and he/she is adorable!
