Hey Archie, thanks for the giggle! It was sorely needed today. I've enrolled in online college, at 63 and the pace is grueling.

Good for you! Hang in there, and show the youngun's who's who! Us old dawgs can learn new tricks!
I learned how to get out of changing dirty diapers, and I can't believe I never thought of it when my kids were little.
Just puke on the baby, and she takes over!!

I think I need help. The wife left with two of our grandkids to go to the movie, and I sit here struggling with what to do with this mess. I know I should relish in it because those babies are such a blessing.
But the house is hammered! Stuff everywhere! Toys, clothes, dirty dishes.

I'm thinking that I'm going to do a minimal straightening up, and go to Lowe's counting my blessings all the way.
I'm not even mad at the dog for chewing the end off of the water hose, which is why I'm going to Lowe's today.

But.......the house is a mess!

I bet you left the poor dog at home in that messy house and after all he did to get you a mini vacation at Lowe's.

I left him outside to guard the hose.

Take your fingers to the gym to get in shape.

I bet there are a lot of people who are just waiting to steal your garden hose. If you leave your doors unlocked maybe they will steal all of your clutter.

It makes me happy too!

The great thing about grandkids is that they think you are the coolest people in the world, then they go home!

That's why they get away with murder here! Make their parents pay for the torment they caused us!

I live out in the country, and have left my door unlocked on a number of occasions. The mess, (3 grandchildren, 4 dogs, 7 cats, 2 horses and a donkey, though the horses and the donkey don't come in the house, although I used to have a Welsh Pony that figured out how to push the door open, we had to block the front porch off so she couldn't get up there) was always there waiting for me

I remember one of those urban legends, I think from the 1970s or there abouts, concerning a cab driver in a big city. I don't know if it was because of a garbage strike or something else, but he apparently needed to get rid of a lot of garbage. He decided that each day he would place a bag of garbage in the back seat of his cab, but somehow he repackaged it to look valuable as if it was a forgotten item from another passenger. Inevitably, each day the garbage was stolen from the cab.

No worries Archie!
When Edith comes home, she will take care of it.
Just climb back into your easy chair and relax.
