A true Democracy means everyone gets to vote on every item put before the government. The people in the majority, be it by race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other dividing type, will always get their way. I much prefer that any elected official act in favor of what benefits the entire state if they are in state government and what benefits the country as a whole if they are in federal government. That said, I understand that what I believe are those interests may not be what someone else believes. I also strongly believe that the federal government has over stepped the boundaries established by the Constitution and needs to be put back in place. My belief is that the two party system is in ruins and needs to be fixed and the only way to fix it is through a Convention of States.

So Facebook being a private company open to the public should be allowed to discriminate. Would you be for a private restaurant banning people by race?

Absolutely not and I did not abócate that I would. My view is the opposite to this. I believe Facebook to be unnecessary in the first place. I don’t really need to broadcast what I’m having for dinner at some restaurant. Some of the junk that is being sent from the users is utterly useless. Until they quit telling us who can use the site, tell them to go to hell!!!

Perhaps Facebook needs more competition ? Anyway you will be happy to note that even left wing speechifyers get punished on Facebook. A minor leftist blogger that I monitor was recently complaining about being banished from Facebook for a week for what he considered a minor infraction of civility. He and his hundreds of followers were utterly beside themselves.
