All companies are using more robots but the picture you posted is of a manned floor scrubber. Most robotics/automation are used in distribution centers doing work that has historically caused physical injures from lifting & bending. They are capable of working in the dark so it saves energy too.

Yes, increased minimum wage helps justify immediate short term investment in automation, but it has been underway for years to reduce overall costs & meet safety standards. The average cost of a back injury is over $100,000.00.

Aside from the fact that the numbers don't work - you can't tax enough to do more than give small subsidies to displaced workers - most UBI experiments in other than 3rd world countries are unsuccessful. Now notice, I didn't say all, and I have seen where in extremely poor countries, UBI actually does show promise. But it's only because those people who have nothing are able to take the funds and improve their lives by starting businesses or buying livestock. I question whether this would actually work in America.

If you hate America so much, and idolize socialist/communist countries so much , why don't you just move to one of them? I'm sure once you explain how repressive you find things in America they will grant you political asylum and make you out to be a national treasure like you leftists want to do with immigrants coming here.
