It might be many of these things, or all of these things, but what it IS NOT is a symbol of America.
You're absolutely right, the LGBTQ flag is NOT a symbol of the USA! Not by a damned sight.
The Flag of the United States should be the one flag that is NEVER suppressed in the United States; anyone, any group, or any association that suppresses our National Flag, is either a traitor or an enemy of the USA! No exceptions.
I had a lady friend that lived in one of the areas with a home owners association (HOA) that didn't allow any flags, including the Flag of the USA, to be flown in their jurisdiction. A HOA, and property deed covenants, are legal ways to 'control' a designated area, and if it is written down it is enforceable under our 'democratic' laws. Personally, I wouldn't live in such a place if I couldn't fly Old Glory, or any other flag I elected to fly BELOW her; and the only choice I have to protest an HOA or a deed covenant - - is not to live there. You can change a HOA or a deed covenant, but is truly a pain in the butt to do because these democrats really do not like to give up control of anything!
However, some people enjoy living in a place where there are strict rules, regulations, and guidelines, probably because they don't like to think for themselves, and want everyone else to think the same way; basically like most Progressives with their Political Correctness, or churches with their dogmas. But, it is their right under our laws and the Declaration of Independence guarantees us the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Pursuit is a key word here, it says you may "pursue" happiness but it doesn't guarantee that you will find happiness. The First Amendment protects us from most restrictions of expression since it was written to restrict the government, not the people, and as far as I know, flying a flag that you like is an "expression." You may not like someone's expression, but you must tolerate it, which is where the country went wrong about flying the Stars and Bars (Confederate Flag), and condemning various historical Statues. These expressions meant a lot to some people, and they should have been tolerated. However, toleration seems to be a lost courtesy in the USA, which is a damned shame.
As far as an LGBTQ flag goes, it is the Liberal Extremist Democrats that promoted Political Correctness, where damned near anything and almost everything is intolerable to someone, and no one should ever, EVER, get their feelings hurt, which IMHO is nothing more than Progressive thought control and that is plain and simple Socialist BS geared to stir up hate and discontent in our Republic! The day I become politically correct, kick the tires and light the cremation fires, because I'm dead! The Second Amendment is necessary to protect the First Amendment, so leave it alone!
We once had a great Republic, the USA, but for about a century the Deep State Progressives have been diligently working like termites to destroy the country by "fundamentally transforming" the USA into a new "One World Order" under Socialism as a dictatorship. We really don't need another King! We sunk pretty low under this Socialist/Progressive pressure, but with the awakening of our Patriots and the election of President Trump, we are beginning to 'Make the USA Great Again' by getting rid of the Obama legacy and moving again toward being a sovereign Republic, where people actually work for a living rather than vote for a living, where the people control the government rather than the government controls the people. If one doesn't happen to like the USA with its borders, language and culture, one of our other rights is that one has the right to leave the USA; if one elects to leave, don't let the gate hit one in the ass on the way through it!
