It looks like the only way to save America is to ask for his help. Democrats, Republicans and Tea Partiers all need to get down on their knees and ask for help. If you are an atheist or agnostic, please give serious thought to what you want our country. The most moral person I have known was an atheist.

I didn't even recall that particular line. I am an American. Though I am presently living in another state than the one in which I was born and raised, I still identify with that state and if I ever get to Europe, I will still feel the same way.

What I dislike about the song is that it IS a threat. This type of thing is always what is being preached by the Right wing. I am, in my travels irritated by the Texas state border greeting, "Don't Mess With Texas." That too is aggressive.

Part of my childhood took place during WWII. I recall the films that were popular at that time. They were all propaganda even though enjoyable. I particularly liked the musicals. To this day I will not watch any film having to do with war. I saw enough newsreels.

Granted, this country has been in difficulties before and has always come out of it. Please, look through the words again and note if they're not talking about might. The song is bragging, not about our inner strength but physical power.

I don't know when the song lyrics were written, but the video was made after Bin Laden was killed...as witnessed by the headlines in it. What difference would it make who was in the White House when it was written? Would that make it more or less patriotic? If so, I would question the patriotism of anyone who thought it mattered.

I met some people from Africa who were in this town to study to become missionaries. They were aware I was not a church goer. We would get together at times to discuss passages in the bible. Needless to say, I played the part of devil's advocate. They were aware that, in their future as missionaries, they would run into questions and responses they might not be ready for. They used these meetings as training sessions.

One evening the husband said to me, "I know you do not attend any church but I must say you are the most Christian person we have ever met. You don't discuss it but you live the part. I was honored because I do believe that there are only three things that Jesus taught: Love, Understanding and Acceptance. That's all that is necessary for a good life and a good society. All the rules and regulations of the church were created by man. I am an atheist and have chosen my way - as stated above.

Why shouldn't we brag! We're the greatest Country in the World!! You take things to literally my friend. I am from NYC and live in Az.. I know what you mean about living somewhere else. I take everything quite seriously about the city. I just wish my children would quit picking on me about my accent. They have 1 too. Lol

Yep. I missed it. I took the "Don't tread on me" thing as being directed to other countries and reflective of the pride we Americans have in our country. I didn't see anything divisive toward Americans, but I can understand how others might. Perspective is everything!

Obumma does it again; Now he wants to ssend 150 Special forces to Uganda to hunt down a foreign warlord. Why doesn't Congress stand up for America? Isn't this the Same as the Russians going into the Crimia? that's a country one step out of the stone age and as far backwards as you can get. Are we going to act as the worlds police force and food suplier? It's time to call all our troops home and secure our own borders. Look at Alaska; they can look across the Barent Straights and see Russian Alutian s Thes are cutting our armed forces to 1941 numbers also. Who's going to protect U.S. ? I say Impech the Obumma.
