Kudos for the real reason to disarm a society. You are right and the progs are the aggressors and won't stop trying to get us disarmed. Afraid they will have to wait, however, until all us old-timers die off and all that is left is the poor brainwashed masses who will trust anyone who will give them a crust of bread and a sip of water.

     for one thing they the demwits are so afraid that we conservatives will be out hunting them down for sport and food.hope not for food, they are spoiled rotten from the lack of working, dam leaches/lieing pollcats.

well I'm the kind of Guy ,that thinks like this. If it's against the law I don't want any part of it. And if it something that will hurt someone else or myself .I don't want any part of that either. Now get me wrong ,if someone threatens me or any one I care about, that's another story. But I have never needed a Gun for self defense to this date I might be old in numbers ,but not old in my body.I don't smoke or drink.I,m as healthy today as when I was in my 20's.I don't push anyone around, and I won't let anyone push me either.I'm not a big guy,I'm 5'9 and weigh 150. like I said I'm not big ,and only mean when I have to be.Your choice is up to you.I obey the Law whatever it is.''Gem'' :D :D

I appreciate that you will protect yourself and those you care about, but must ask how you will be able to protect them if all of you wind up in a "Fema camp"? You DO understand, however, that some laws are immoral, some are actually unconstitutional whether or not the Supreme Court never heard of them, don't you. Some legal laws are harmful and without merit and are written for the wrong reasons.

I am a nurse, and I always had the authority to refuse to give someone some medication or a certain dose if I feared it was a dangerous dose or a danger to the patient. I couldn't do it clandestinely, but openly so that someone with either more knowledge or less concern could then give it as ordered. IOW, if they didn't see the danger of it, they could give it, but no nurse had to go against her own better judgment. It is called free will. It is called not endangering yourself because someone over you can tell you to do thus and so. It is called integrity. It is a major factor that keeps a civilized society civilized. I hope you will remember this when your family is picked up and locked up because someone passed a law or an order that they need to be locked up.

Oh c'mon now, afraid? Heck, I'll even set a place for you at the lunch table, waiting until you get here, of course, to actually make you lunch. Why, I'd even let you help, to allay your fears that there's something up "this liberal's" sleeve. Just to make you feel more comfortable, I would even invite a few of my conservative friends over to join us for lunch -- yes, in spite of my liberal leanings, there "are" some enlightened conservatives who see past labels. They know Truth when they see it, regardless of where it originates.

I have several friends who have been in the nursing profession for a number of years. One works in a teaching hospital which makes her job all that much harder. They are to be given much credit for their dedication. I also offer my congratulations to Pixie and her daughter for their dedication. The doctors get all the credit and the nurses get most of the hard work. May God bless you all.

What a wonderful compliment! Thank you so much. I'm of the "old school" nursing, whereas Pixie's daughter will be of the "new technological school" nurse. She will be using equipment that didn't exist when I was active. I'm still trying to decide if that is good or bad. Technology is a good thing and can do so much more than we could back then.

OTOH, I fear technology is taking the place of caring, empathy, compassion, and hands on soothing of a patient's anxieties. I had never have given that a thought until my husband spent his last 4 months alive in hospitals, in ICU most of that time. He got excellent technological care, and virtually NO comforting, no evidence that anyone gave a thought to the fact he could not speak because of his tracheotomy, that he shivered from being cold until his bed shook when he had his dialysis. I think I was so fortunate to have been young in the '50's!!!
