True. He raised and spent more money than any senate candidate before him. He came close to beating a very hated conservative. Money was gathered country wide by liberals who flocked to Support Beto. Cruz isn’t that popular with his own party, (a positive in my book) and still won. Beto has a chance. Libs and millennials don’t care what a person has done or stand for. It’s all about how he looks and speaks.

"It's all about how he looks and speaks." That is very true. And the media, then and now, attempt to draw parallels to obama. I suppose the thinking is that, if they say it often enough and loud enough, people will make a connection and vote for him for that reason--he reminds them of obama.

They did the same thing with that Ossoff guy from Georgia. Remember? The media/left pushed and pushed this "obama clone" idea. Everybody got the memo. He's cool, like obama. Don Lemon couldn't believe how much he "sounded like obama." He is the king of cool--just like obama. It was beyond ridiculous. And it worked. Something like $8 million in donations came in from all over the country for this guy. I believe his campaign ended up setting a record for the most well funded campaign for this small district. Celebrities came to help out. Dems pulled out all the stops. He ended up losing. Obama comparisons ended because, well, they're not going to compare obama with a loser. And I don't believe we have heard Ossoff's name anywhere since.

And now it's Beto's turn. The memo went out and the media drones are at it again. Chris Matthews has a thrill up his leg again. As usual, the idea is to shout the same message over and over and over. The easily influenced groupthinkers listen and start nodding their heads in agreement because, if all these media types think it's so, then it must be so. The've already forgotten about that Ossoff guy. Beto has to be it--the next obama. People start to send in donations. And here we go again. See how that works?

I, for one, do not see any resemblance at all. IMHO, this guy is strange and off-putting. I did not care much for obama's policies or pretty much anything he did during his 8-years in office. BUT there is no denying the man is an intelligent person, a gifted speaker, and came across as poised and confident. And normal. Not so this O'Rourke guy. Not at all. And the more the media attempts to convince me of same, the more credibility--of which they have very little anyway--is lost as far as I'm concerned.

If that were true (huh-uh), there’s something mighty strange about the Texas enrollment practices because they gerrymandered thousands out of having any effect on the voting process.

It's nice to know that you are better informed than the Texas Secretary of State.

The statement is from the Texas Secretary of State, and he did, indeed, make that statement. I'm terribly sorry that your precious Mother Jones, Salon, or MSNBC neglected to mention that. It doesn't fit their agenda of open borders and angelic wetbacks very well, does it?

If there were any truth to it, Texas would not have run to Breitbart—of all outlets—with their McNews. Trumpskis are the only ones who pay any attention to Breitbart.

Off topic, but I would have to question the masculinity of anyone who obtained their information from something called "Mother Jones."

Just sayin'...

Wrong, Breitbart is considered a lot more credible and has a lot more journalistic access than some of the mares-eat-oats-and-does-eat-oats propaganda publications that pander to you pitiful portside pundits.

Oooh, that hurts, coming from a left wing, anti-America freedom hater. You dems are discusting.
Kemmy, you are getting as good as kevy being on the wrong side of every issue, loser.

It never ceases to amuse me how trumpsters equate Trump with America, thus if we don't like Trump we don't like America. But hey! that's all they've got.

Has nothing to do with Trump, that is your problem.

No, I'm just one highly observant cuss, though it has been said that there is, on occasion, a degree of madness to my methods.
