Subversive, also if you wait too long, you can't edit.

So am I surprised? Not in the least--after all, I read conservative posts on OPP each and every day...
It does make one wonder just WTF is wrong with conservatives. I mean do they think we won't impeach Trump simply because they are a bunch of bullies? Won't even make us skip a beat...
Why anyone gives a second thought to anything Jim Bakker says is beyond me!

Televangelists should be in politics. Anyone who can bullshit an audience for a half hour without an iota of shame could run for office.

And of course televangelists share another important trait with politicians: the highly developed ability to separate people from their money while convincing them that they are the ones benefitting by handing over their cash.

Nail. Head. SMACK! Televangelists have the added advantage of selling the ultimate life insurance.

As opposed to doing it on the taxpayers' dime. How much of your money has Nancy Pelosi wasted? How about Leland Yee?

That is a distraction Mr. S.
In any case, tax abatements finagled by Trump effectively pick the pockets of taxpayers. Especially so when his businesses fail, effectively erasing any benefit to the communities that proffered the tax give-aways to begin with.

Trump succeeded in saving America.
Billionaire winning the presidency and you consider that a failure?

I suppose you can explain how a tax cut that puts money in my pocket picks said pocket; and how having extra money in my pocket and those of my customers, giving them more discretionary funds, would cause a business to fail.

Paul, if you have a problem with tax abatements or picking the pockets of the taxpayers, may I suggest you take it up with Congress. They are the ones responsible and it goes back many years. If you would go back 30 Congresses or to about 1960, you will find that, on the average, Democrats had the majority on approximately a 3 to 2 ratio. Now you may disagree, but my conclusion is that if past tax laws favor the so-called rich Republicans, it is only because the Democrats want it that way. After all, the elite or rich are now more heavily represented by Democrats than Republicans. It alway amazes me how the ones blessed with the heaviest wallets are the ones who scream the loudest about taxing the rich, such as Nancy P and Chucky. One of the big Dem billionaires, I can't remember who, said that he wasn't taxed enough yet I haven't heard that he offered to pay more taxes, and I'm sure we would have heard from the media if he had done so. One thing you might bear in mind and that is that Democrats talk really big about what they are going to do for the people - during the campaign - and then they go back to doing exactly what they did before. Class envy is an easy sell to the rank and file.
