I am new to OPP and this is my first post. I'm a retired registered nurse, but worked at a county hospital as an aide on weekends where abortions were performed. When I first took the job (in 1972) while I was in nursing school, I thought abortion was just fine up to the third trimester but had never seen one, or the sequela. I was assigned to take care of the women after they had been given the medications to cause their babies to abort. . . I still get teary-eyed just writing this. Many of the babies were 'salted out' causing their premature birth. In most cases, and if you were lucky, the baby was expelled dead on arrival. HOWEVER, many survived this and were born gasping for breath, some crying, and covered with bruises from this procedure. I carried one baby into the cleaning room where an intern took the very much alive and gasping baby and put him directly into a bottle of formaldehyde. I had to quit working on that floor as the carnage sickened me. When you say you are in favor of abortion or try to dress it up in the euphemistic and noble-sounding phrase of "freedom of choice" this is what you're in favor of. I am in favor of voluntary sterilization of women who don't want children and birth control, but too often, abortion is the main type of birth control some women use. This is astounding.
Also, many women LIE about how far along they are, and many of the aborted babies were a month or two older than expected.
