No more military drills?
Sounds like a good way to save money...
And promote peace...

What is the down side?

Responses to actual assaults that look like keystone cops routines because there was no practice with joint forces. Drills are training, working bugs out

Joint forces...
A fair point...

Still...
It seems that the American Military ought to be able to crush a second world dictatorship like North Korea on its own...

Joint practices are great for cementing alliances and as deterents...
But the need to show good will to North Korea should also be taken into consideration..

The down side is that NOKO is not firing missiles over Japan or conducting nuclear underground testing. We sure got taken on that deal huh?

The first summit certainly paid off...
It will be interesting to see if North Korea continues in that vein, or reverts to their previous position...

Either way Trump comes off looking good and with my applause for attempting to negotiate..

At the very least Kim has learned that Trump, unlike every other American president he's dealt with, is quite willing to abruptly walk away and Kim didn't even get a box of hotdogs where other presidents gave him many concessions.

You're right. I believe the President mention curtailing these drills early in his first year recalling how much it cost just to fly the aircraft alone from Guam and back. This is not new. Mike
