Lets discuss the "N" word to see why it can't be used today. Is it legal to do that?

Why are so many people offended at anything and everything these days?

Why are so many offended? Because the biggest arrow in the Progressive quiver is the lie of identity politics. They care not about the slanderous bombs they hurl only the collateral damage they can cause. I've come to the conclusion, thru observation, that 99% of the time someone cries, "racist" they are either a liar, a lunatic or a racist themself and it matters not their color or gender. The word "racists" has been weaponized for the sole purpose of promoting the disgusting Progressive identity politics agenda. And they blame Trump for dividing us. Ha! That's a laugh. It's radical racial blackmail and we need to crush it in the way it needs to be crushed, with disgust, ridicule and dissmissiveness.

In the small city we used to go to the movies in the 40s and 50s people with colored skin (all blacks of today) had to sit in one little area with about 40 seats. This lasted a long time but about 1950 a black kid became the really important member of the high school football team. He was allowed to sit anywhere he wanted, and he did it with impunity. I had to ask many of those others, who we all called niggers,
why they continued to associate with him at school. I never did figure out that one.

My dad used that term all the time and I think I picked it up from him. He was one of those who hated Jackie Robinson for playing baseball with the Dodgers because as he said, "They have their own leagues and shouldn't want to play with white men. Not many years after Robinson started playing many other black men were playing in the majors and "the old man" seemed to forget that they were out of their league. Hey, he and many of his friends always went to Negro League games, when they could. I sure never did understand that.

I grew up in an area where anyone "ethnic " probably had a dad working at Argonne national laboratory, and had traveled and experienced far more than I. So I never really saw the "whites only" stuff around. I do remember asking my best friend's mom one day why everyone talked badly about blacks. I was probably 11. Her response was "there but for the grace of God go you". I never forgot her answer because it left me baffled.

AGREED. And, fyi, I deal with a lot of people all the time of every ethnicity and skin color, and truly, most regular people of all flavors think it's crapola.

That's a good way to put it - they've weaponized the word racist.

Trump didn't divide us. That "progression" has been going on for a while. For this nonsense to really be crushed we also need democrats to play a part in it and call it for what it is. They don't all buy into this garbage.

Absolutely agree Rose. About 5 months ago when we were having so much trouble in Chicago a young black State Rep was on TV and said who is Rahm Emanuel to say we don't want Trump in our city and we don't want Trump's help. Yes we do want help. We need help. And he was a Democrat.

I think the problem is we have far too many people who want to be VICTIMS. I don't see how you can be an actual victim when black people use the N word in their music, or when talking to one another. I think this is just another way to bash us white folks over the head, by being so offended by white people using that word, or derivatives of it.

this is the result of the victim mentality that has been pushed since the mid 1970s, IMO.

One of my best friends in the Army was Joe Morris. Joe wanted to be called, Tex, although he had lived all his life in Oregon. Everybody called him Tex, but me, I called him Joe unless we were making fun of either of the two races. I called him nigger then and he called me any of the names they used when talking about us. We had too much fun with those of the two races making them think that we were really after each other. So often others were sure we would end up in a fight and didn't know what to do when Tex embraced me, or vice versa. We really had a lot of fun using all that racial crap and then laughing at the others who were so sure we didn't like each other.

The term 'racist' has no racial connotations...
It can be equally applied to all races...
Not comparable with the term 'nigger' at all..
