I miss westerns and I guess they don't make them anymore.
Either because there's no interest or there are no men to play cowboys anymore.
I was talking to my brother once and he told me these aren't the golden years, they're the tarnished years.
He was referring to aging.
I agree with him.

Maybe you are better off not knowing what is going on. It could scare you to death. You know the old saying "ignorance is bliss". Besides, everything changes so fast by the time you bring yourself up to date you're out of date. As to the old westerns I always thought I would prefer to live in that time era except for the fact that there was no indoor plumbing and toilet paper. However, according to the movies no one ever had to relieve themselves and we know how accurate the movies are.

I don't have cable TV, I use an air antenna and I get the old Westerns (all of them) on "GRIT" and "METV" and other free TV stations. I especially like "TrackDown" staring Robert Culp and Gunsmoke of course and Rawhide....all of them from as far as 60 years ago as well as all the old movie classics.
I don't know if any of the current acters can be a cowboy or not.

H&I has western every morning. I think my favorite is Cheyenne. Or is it Wanted Dead or Alive. Maybe it's Have Gun Will Travel. Get the picture.
Sounds like me but as long as we're in the right side of the dirt were OK.

And aims a gun. A secret service agent, new on the Job, pshouts "Mickey Mouse". This startles the would be
Assassin and he is captured.
Later, the agents supervisor takes him aside and asked, " What the he'll made you shout Mickey Mouse?
Blushing, the agent replies, " I got nervous, I meant to shout, "Donald, duck".
