Bob, Although I know your are an ardent liberal, I had thought you would surely be much smarter than to listen to Morning Joe or believe anything he espouses. He starts with accusations that Trump is a racist.
That is a bald faced lie: President Trump has created the lowest unemployment rates on record for both blacks and Hispanics. Racist? What is your honest take? Has he tried to stop the invasion of our nation from the South by illegals who are breaking our laws, most of whom are Hispanic. Yes! He is, as President, bound to enforce the laws of our Republic. By virtue of our being a Republic, it means we are founded in law. Can Hispanics emigrate to our Republic? Certainly, as long as it is done lawfully. There are a long list of prerequisites to be met and it takes time to qualify for each one. The problem is that the prospective immigrants are too impatient to wait their turn, they want to arrive at our well stocked table and help themselves, NOW! Too bad, that is not how the system works, nor should it. The system was developed to ensure that immigrants would be positives to our society, not dregs needing to be fed and have housing and jobs provided and without medical problems. That is why immigrants were quarantined: if they had a debilitating disease and it couldn't be cured, they were returned to their homelands. If they didn't have a trade or occupation that the country had a need for, return them home to learn a desired occupation.
Did the President ban immigrants from countries that were sworn enemies of ours? Yes, as well he should have. Did Congress, in their ultimate stupidity, force several of those countries to be removed from the list of unacceptables? Yes. One of them was Somalia; now the biggest source of volunteers from this country, to enlist in ISIS. That one is on the American people, in their gracious stupidity, they allowed citizens from a foreign enemy to move here and to take over their neighborhoods. We now have one of their representatives in our Congress, spouting her mis-truths in an attempt to influence our policies. Do you really believe our President is a racist??? Or are you simply spouting liberal falsehoods?
You, and Scarbrough, take the President to task over his disdain for some "democracies" in the world. We were proposed to be a democracy but the founding fathers were scared to death of the "tyranny of the majority" and said we would instead become a Republic, founded upon the laws contained in our new Constitution. That concept propelled us to the forefront among all nations and has continued to sustain us for over 200 years. Thank God our esteemed ancestors listened to wisdom from above. I don't hold the President in disregard because of his failure to kowtow to democracies.
And what Constitutional norms has President Trump breached? Obama was well known for his frailties regarding the Constitution, his passing of obamacare which required people to buy into his healthcare debacle, alive with "glitches", paying higher premiums than normal and with its constantly increasing deductibles. Perhaps you preferred his "I have a phone and a pen" statement or his thoughts that as the Executive he controlled the Legislative and Judicial branches? Did Scarborough have any comments on obama squandering $1.3 Billion on vacations during his term in office, or his reducing our military to criminal strength levels? Or are all his comments parochial, antagonizing only to the Right?
Yes, I still strongly support our President. I have yet to hear any of his lies. Election promises that cannot be kept are not lies, such as building the wall. He has made every effort to protect our nation, per his Constitutional charge, from illegals both immigrants and contraband. And yet the liberals have made every effort to confound his wall as well as his two incredibly accomplished Supreme Court nominees. A campaign promise is not a guarantee but is a charge to do his level best to attain that goal. Get off the "lying" turnip truck and come back down to reality.
I don't have the time to answer all the rest of "Joe's" illogical observations but since he is nothing but a MSM news hack, he can and should be ignored unless you know he is telling the truth. I saw no evidence of that in his diatribe above.
