Ilhan Omar.... the young lady is a Muslim, but she is not an Arab.. She is Somalian..

She represents a small twin city district which notable includes the University of Minn, and across the river an area that was long know as Tipitown...

She is far from my District 8 up here on paradise bay.. in the northern wilderness.

So I know no great deal about her.. but the vile rumor about her marriage to her brother was tossed about when she was elected to the state legislature a few years ago..
It was long ago dealt with, and dismissed as one huge lie about the process to get her brother to America.

Not sure the details, was not paying much attention.. but not a worry, only a lie and a nasty one at that.

She will be reelected as long as she wishes I bet.. she got 70% of the vote in her district..

ONly heard a little from her, but she seems to most interested in economic and educational concerns..

One more detail... the head covering rule, was OK for about 150 years and now may be OK again to wear a head covering. Which is all inclusive not only specifically for the Arab head scarf..

Just a couple of thoughts for you to mull over as you defend Islam, muslims and Ilhan Omar.
Tolerating the intolerant might seem to you like just being all in for inclusiveness and diversity. (You're really just virtue signaling how worthy you are.)

Except that the paradox of tolerating the intolerant leads to their extinction and the extinction of tolerance.
Unlimited tolerance inexorably leads to the tolerant ones being destroyed - and tolerance with them.

Any religion or movement that preaches intolerance must be outside the law. (This includes muslims and Islam where non muslims are persecuted, beheaded, and terrorized.)
Defending tolerance absolutely requires that the intolerant not be tolerated.

True permie, but only a tiny minority of Nazis put Jews into ovens too. The vast majority of Nazis were law abiding. But the problem was that the anti-semitic environment of Nazis in general allowed the holocaust to happen.
