Did you mean to write 1,375 Billion? That would be over a trillion.

Not only is the amount they are offering for border barriers far less than requested, part of their offer includes reducing beds for ICE detainment. And no increase for CBP, for sensors, TARS, immigration court, or any other aspects of border security.

If it were just about too little money for wall construction, signing it and getting further funding through other options would barely be tolerable. But the "compromise" is that for a portion of border barrier, they will reduce funding to ICE detention, and keep the last fiscal years funding amount for CBP, and border security technology. And to fund immigration court at the level before Trump doubled the number of immigration judges.

This they are calling a compromise. They want to pay less for the wall, reduce it to a barrier, and in exchange they will reduce funding for other illegal alien enforcement.

I would agree if the proposal didn't include a restriction on how many illegals ICE can detain. If Trump signs that, it is a move toward demolishing ICE. This is even more important that the wall!!!!

If they are arrested that will do no good. That's what they want. After they are arrested they will simply be released into the enterer of the country. The only solution is to shoot to kill and everybody knows that is an impossibility. So the only solution is a wall but even that isn't 100%. We still have the visa over stays and the birth right citizenship and the chain migration. So I guess we had better learn how to speak Spanish.
