The Republicans are good at cherry picking information when it comes to immigrant bashing. The latest example is with Muslims. They harp on the problem children of the Arab world but conveniently leave out nations like Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Morrocco that have been very much at peace with us for a long long time. Picking out the worst of any people and judging the rest of them by it is the classic definition of bigotry.

The Catholic Church did the same thing until Napoleon. In 1798 he asked Pope Pius VI to come to France to crown him. The pope refused. He sent General Dolphar and a few men to bring him to France. The pope had his Swiss Guards to kill him. Napoleon, then sent General Bertier and enough solders to do the job. Napoleon, then crown himself emperor. The old pope was old and feeble and died in 1799, under guard. That was the end of the catholic political power. The catholic church before this murdered, reports state over a 150 million Jews and Christians if they did not join the catholic church. They took property including land. They torture and murdered in terrible ways,(Google the torture items of the catholic church). Many can still be seen in the dungeons of the old churches today. The very same thing the muslems are doing today. The Islam religion is a religious power and political power as the catholic church was once. These type of religions are parasites in the world, that leads people a hateful out look on the true Christian Church also. Though there all many religions calling themselves Christians, they are far from it.

You're surely right! If the French, English and Americans had not exploited and screwed the Mooslims over so badly, they could still be living in tents, cooking with camel dung and marrying children off to old perverts.

I truly wish we had left them alone and we would not be having this conversation today. Only big difference is that now they want all of us to be like them and are willing to kill anyone who disagrees.

The mistake that people make is the belief that Islam is only a religion while they use our own laws against us to bring us into submission. The Muslims are allowed several appeasements in order to not have them offended while they are laughing at our stupidity. Every country where they haven't been accepted is riddled with terrorist attacks, suicide bombers, and innocent people killed because the thugs are outraged. So our government allows Muslims to get by with things that the rest of us would be jailed for. These photos were taken in New York City on Friday afternoon. Does anyone think any other religion would be allowed to get by with this public exhibition?

OK, let's look at the history of Islam, before we blame their anger on what the rest of the world may have done to them.

Here is short description of Islam from the patheos religion Library:
"Islam is a monotheistic religious tradition that developed in the Middle East in the 7th century C.E. Islam, which literally means "surrender" or "submission," was founded on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad as an expression of surrender to the will of Allah, the creator and sustainer of the world. The Quran, the sacred text of Islam, contains the teachings of the Prophet that were revealed to him from Allah. Essential to Islam is the belief that Allah is the one and true God with no partner or equal."

The beginning of Islam was 622 A.D. That is when Muhammad went to Medina, Arabia and organized his 10,000 followers. Their first mission was to go throughout eastern Arabia to destroy all "pagan idols and temples" -- effectively making Islam the only religion in the land. They continued this mission until 632 A.D. when Muhammad died. Then they expanded out of Arabia. Their first target was Mesopotamia (currant day Iraq) to their north. By 632, the world's longest lived and successful nation was weakened by excessive government spending. They were no match for the Islam barbarians sweeping in from their south. The Muslim's idea of conquering a nation was not to overpower and dominate. Instead, they killed or drove out the entire existing population. Many Mesopotamian cities were completely wiped out - everyone dead. Most Mesopotamians fled into Persia (current day Iran). Others fled west into Syria and Israel. By 637 A.D., Muslims were in complete control of Mesopotamia. In the years following 637, Muslims pushed their barbaric butchering into Persia, pushing the Mesopotamians even further east, and they expanded west toward the Mediterranean Sea.

Continued review of history shows that Islam has never been a peaceful, tolerant religion. They "earned" the hate and disgust that the rest of the world has for them. The rest of the world didn't make them bad; they started that way and never changed.
