A great post and a great analogy I just hope that they can see the similarity but I am not holding my breath on a number of them. But then again God is in control and I have seen some miracles from Him. Praise His name.

Thank you Bahmer! Yes, I, too, am thankful God's in control! I don't always understand His ways, but I trust Him. It sounds like you do too! 😃

Brian. You are very proud of your daughters, am I right? And since you are, you like to tell people about them and their accomplishments. I'm sure they brag on you as well.

Granted, there are some Christians who try to force their faith on others. But the average Christian is just bragging on their Father and Savior, because we love Him. When people mock and jeer, it's a knee-jerk reaction to defend our faith, our God. Just as you would defend those you love if someone mocked them.

I never met you or your daughters. But I know you exist after reading your posts. When you told me of your daughters and their choices/decisions, did I mock them or the obvious love and pride you have for them, simply because I never met them or saw them in person?

Well, I chose to believe in God's Word and in Jesus Christ as Messiah, Savior. I love Him. I'm very proud of Him and all He has done. He's my Father, and I'm His kid. So if someone comes along and laughs, mocks, jeers and stomps on Him and his existence and says the things some of you say here, I am going to defend Him and my belief in Him.

If you verbally attack, we will not be silent. We will defend Him and His existence.

You don't want to hear it? Ok. Then don't mock us for the belief and love we have for our God. Quit verbally stomping on Him, on us, our beliefs and our love for God and His Word. It's quite simple.

You can brag on your loved ones all you want. I won't make fun of you for it.
Brian. You are very proud of your daughters, am I ... (show quote)

I really don't believe anyone on earth past or present knows what Gods word is.Just because some guy gets on T.V. in a 2,000 dollar suit and tells you what God said and what God wants is all you know except what you interpret yourself in a holy book that a 3 year old should have a hard time believing in if it was't shoved down his throat for the first years of his life.Propaganda is what its called.

What are your beliefs called?
And....
Not all tv preachers are Christians. Some are in it for the money only. Anyone can say they are a Christian, but it doesn't mean they are one. You cannot take a few people like that and accuse all Christians of doing the same. That one preacher who recently died...who had people with signs saying God hated the soldiers at their funerals for being gay, he was ONE man. And he is answering to God at the moment for his un-Christ-like behavior. And prove to me that evolution is true. Then prove to me that the Bible is false. The Bible is backed up by first hand experienes. It is also backed up by historians and archeology. Why do you think it's the oldest and most read book ever? Because God wants it to be.
Believing in God, to me, is much easier than believing in a big boom.

No problem sue...I wish some of these people around here would lose that chip on their shoulder and learn to relax instead of being so damn serious all the time. My wife would tell you I haven't laughed this much from any website I've ever been to. Some of the stuff I've read around here at times is mind blowing. I just laugh and move on.

Well, yeah, I guess I HAVE to admit that there are a few comments here and there that brought a good laugh out of me too. I'm sure many have laughed hystericslly at some of mine. Even when some of us conservatives get a negative response from you, I have a good chuckle at how you present your comments. You really are quite comical at times.

A sense of humor, I have learned here, should be a prerequisite for this forum.
😄 And a good day to you Mr. Retired.

God bless you, the holy spirit reveals himself in your words. Praise Jesus, our God is great!!!! Keep sharing the good news with love, Gods word does not come back void.
I see Jesus in a harvested field, picking up the remnant before the close of the harvests, when our Father in Heaven gives his son, our Lord the signal to call his bride home.

As the Bible reads of the times we live, a falling away, mens hearts waxing cold, the Jews returning to there land, weather, and more. To fulfill Bible Prophecy, and the USA not a power during the tribulation, first our country turns from God, moral decline, marriage definitions changed, then comes gods judgment and the collapse of our economy. God places kings and rulers, and our President of our nation has his foot on the gas pedal of the destruction of America, and ushering in the one world government, the stage is set for the anti Christ.
Look up for our redemption drawth nigh.
Time is drawing near and the tribulation will begin, are you willing to bet your eternity that the Bible is wrong?
Pray, Lord Jesus I believe you are the son of the living God, shed your blood a sacrifice for the sin of man. Defeated death, rose from the grace. I am a sinner, forgive me my sins, be Lord of my life!
Christians are saved by grace, not because they earned salvation or deserve , but believe in JESUS that he died for our sins. When we realized we were wicked, and sinful, asking Jesus to save us, he promised his holy spirit would dwell in us, and transform our lives. This is the testimonial every believing Christian can testify.
Thanks for bringing this topic up, and God bless!!!

Question. I have read the bible more than once and could not find the answer to my question. Three days after Jesus died, he arose. Ok. Where did he go?

I love how conservitives are against abortion and also against healthcare for all those unwanted kids who start out with no chance to succeed.Good for the wealthy though because they will have to enlist and fight the wars of the wealthy, or slave in their minimum wage jobs while the entitled kids of the wealthy get another yacht for Christmas.Isnt it enough unwanted children now for the fiends to abuse?

What gets me is they are so against abortion but if they read the bible they will find stories about parents not wanting their children anymore and taking them out to the woods to die of exposure or become food for wild animals. But I guess that was ok. Or the story of Moses. An infant floating down a river in a leaky reed basket. He was an abortion that got lucky.
You all can start yelling now.

John 14:2 ( king James version ) In my Fathers house there are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."

If that does not answer your question, I have further data.

For after he arose to heaven he remained on earth and ministered to His disciples and was viewed by many. When he finally left the earth he ascended into heaven because it states the his disciples were left staring up into heaven. Then an angel of the Lord appeared and said that He will return again to retrieve his own. I am assuming heaven is up but I have never been there it could also be an alternate universe that we are not allowed to see into.

I'm gonna tell you a true story. Sure I'm get yelled at for it. But it shows how worked up the truly religious can get. When I lived in Florida, I was in a very small town. One Baptist church, across the street. On Christmas eve, the preacher, a real fire and brimstone guy, was really getting worked up. He gave the word of God, then threw his hands in the air and screamed " If that is not true, may God strike me dead." At that moment he have a massive heart attack. He was dead before he hit the floor. The very nice lady across the street told me about this a couple days later. I'm sorry, but I had to leave before she saw me laughing at the irony. She never went back to that church.

That's rich. Reminds me of the recent news about the southern preacher who handled snakes. He claimed God would protect him from the poison of any snake bite. National Geographic even ran a reality show about him. A few weeks back, he was bitten...and died.
