My son said he would be OK if it did not last over 3 months. WRONG! He and his wife are getting on each others nerves. Everything she wants to do, he says they can't afford. I can't imagine the situation of a family without the money for utilities, house payments or food.

Every state should possess the authority to recall their Congressmen and Senators when the people do not believe those representatives serve them. Once they get to Washington they sometimes believe they are more independent than they should believe. It would give us a more balanced legislature where leaders such as Pelosi could not control their votes enmasse but rather the people in their individual respective states. Some states already possess this authority although I cannot recall it ever being used.

Congress? Trump said at the beginning that he was going to own this shutdown so why are you blaming Congress? If Trump wants the government open then all he has to do is tell McConnell that he will sign the bill he was prepared to sign in the first place. Trump shut down the government and he's the only one who can get the government going again. That is, unless you guys raise 5.7 billion in your go fund me page then you can build the wall and the rest of us can go along about our own business...

She's already lost on the wall thing and that's why she won't hold a vote. Her people will vote against her.
