Hahahaha

You Progressive's are so pure and full of love for your fellow man.

It would be nice if you could produce some of your "facts" concerning the racism of Conservatives. How is it that only you pure of heart Democrat Progressives, are cognizant of this malady? I was unaware that Jackson, Sharpton, DW Schultz, Jackson-Lee, Reid, Peelosi, et al were Conservatives. Please, please enlighten us poor souls.

How do you manage to find racism in everyone and everything? You mention racism in almost every one of your posts. You are obsessed with it. Do you also find racism in your bowel movements?

Bowel movements are not play things. Stop that and go wash your hands.

The Bible is a collection of stories -myths- that were told and retold over many centuries before they were eventually written down. To argue about myths seems like a waste of time to me.

You are quite right. You are a waste of time.

I think a wise philosopher once wrote that one must not attempt to enlighten sidewalks, teach pigs to sing or enlighten those who refuse to be enlightened.

Have you read up on the parameters and limits of paranoia? To treat all disagreement or perceived disagreement as a plot is a recognized mental illness.

You do, on occasion, exhibit signs of paranoia.
for example, you are paranoid about racism. It, at times, consumes you.

Just like the queers in here accusing anyone that doesn't go along with their filthy immoral way of thinking being a homophobe the racist accuse everyone else of being one because of their inner fears of being exposed as the racists they really are....

I sometimes get the comments and the commenters mixed up. sorry if I replied to you thinking it was someone else.

If I remember correctly, someone made a comment about how much welfare one can receive and it was grossly wrong. The amounts were wrong and I said so. That someone wanted me to produce proof that they were wrong. I know their amounts were clearly wrong, but I didn't have the correct amounts. I know that if I called welfare and asked for correct amounts and relayed them, someone would call me a liar and some other insults, so I suggested they call welfare and get the amounts directly from the source and leave me out of it.

I hope that clarifies the matter. If it doesn't, let me know and I will respond accordingly.

First, I just came back from getting my eyes dilated, so if I make typos you'll just have to forgive me
Second, it kinda clears the response up, but I took no offense to it anyway. I never saw the post you're referring to, I was asking about clarification on blanket statements. If you're proposing a statement as a proven fact, then you have to have a demonstrable proof, or at least a traceable one for possible refutation. If your statement is an opinion then it needs no proof. So, not to belabor the point, but if your statement is an opinion, say so. Otherwise it's considered a fact, or proven. To do otherwise is like debating which color is the prettiest or how high is up.

"Agnostic paleo-conservative independent." hey? I think I've heard of the term "paleo-conservative" but I'm going to have to check it out again.

I've always felt conservatism is the natural state of human beings-most people want to be left alone and are not for radical change, left or right, if they have even modest resources to feed, shelter and protect themselves.

But I don't think that's what "paleo-conservative" means, much less an agnostic, independent one.

Thanks for the post-it made me smile. Love your avatar. I'm planning to be that old man living in the woods who everybody is afraid of. Kinda like the guy in your avatar. I've already got a cane, although I don't use it much.

You're right, that's not what it means, but I'll let you look it up, makes for better retention.
One of the questions I asked myself before polarization was this: how much money would you steal or spend that belonged to someone else to save the life of your kid? Then, how much would you give (in percentage of your wealth)to save someone Else's kid ? I still don't have a hard and fast answer.

NO, dutch boy, you're a raging homophobe, pure and simple. Never seen such a closet case as you. Never.

I've called no others homophobe but you because the evidence just isn't there.

But with you, the label and the root causes of it are self evident. That lashing out because of your own repressed same sex attractions.

PS: did you really vote for president in 1960?

What is the importance of this question? What does it teach us about polarization?

It was very niece of you to allow him the learning experience of looking the it up for himself.

That is a question that holds the true nature of life. I'm also not sure what the answer is.

One of my wife's friends lost a child last year to CF. We both did a ton of volunteer work to raise money for a lung transplant she never got to get. And we threw in some of our own money.

But did we do enough? Did we REALLY do as much as we could have? That is a painfully real question.

When Tea Party members march holding up signs depicting a presidential candidate as a monkey, that is an expression of overt racism. Yet racists are everywhere, some are covert, while others are overt. So sad. Truth is painful, but necessary for healing the nation.

I used the term "polarization" in the context of which side of the fence( in politics) do I want to be on. It has nothing to do with field polarity.
The question I posed was a personal one. It may have absolutely no meaning to you or anyone else. It was just one of many that I had to ask myself to justify my political stance. One answer I found was "to thine own self be true".

I think most all of us want the very same things, the only difference is we place things in different order of priority.
There are some extremists, many of whom comment on this site, who may not include some things, but, in the real world, they are very small in number.

I don't know anyone who would question the liberal value of caring about others and I don't know of anyone who would question the conservative value that we should provide security for everyone.
