Hey fom. By the way, just out of curiosity, what does fom stand for? I don't consider myself conservative, liberal, republican or democrat. I am a leave me alone and I'll do the same for you. If you ask I will try to help you when you need it, no matter what your side or religion or lack of side etc. I joined this site because someone who saw one of my posts on Facebook invited me and I was curious. I do not fault liberals for there beliefs, except where they think I should believe what they believe or I am wrong, stingy, selfish, uncaring, etc., etc., etc. and I want to cause harm or hardship to elderly, handi-capped, children (except of course the most innocent ones that have yet to see light or get oxygen from the air instead of from their mothers blood stream). I should have said, I don't have anything against "a" liberal or "a" democrat. I do have a lot against liberals and democrats as a whole. Not because of what they believe as a whole, but because they believe and support things like law suits against churches that refuse to wed gays or lesbians, or lawsuits against a simple farmer that needs to use water from a stream that runs across the land the farmer owns. I honestly believe that a person's rights are far more important than a groups rights. For instance, there is a gay couple who happens to be very rich, who are using there huge resources to sue a church for not performing a wedding for them. You see, most people do not care if they get married. Most people don't care if they do not. Most people do not care if they adopt children. Most people do not care if they don't. But it's never good enough that they are "allowed" to believe, and practice, what they want to. Instead of going about their business, and getting married in a different church that believes what they do, (or believes in the money it will pay more than they believe they should adhere to any beliefs at all) they have to purposely pick a church that does not believe what they believe, and use their vast resources to force the church to go against what the church believes, and swallow (pun intended) their gay agenda. If I don't want to pay for abortions (I am very, very, against it) because I absolutely believe it is murder, I shouldn't have to, just because some man and woman wanted to have the fun, but refuse to pay the consequences. This list goes on and on and on. I wholeheartedly believe that if you want to have an abortion, or if you want to marry someone of the same sex, that it is your call. You and you alone have to deal with any and all consequences of your actions though. I should not have to pay for your wishes. I most definitely, under no circumstances, should have to participate in your wants or for that matter, your needs. It should be a choice. Not just a choice for you, but a choice for me too. (You being liberals and demo's. not you specifically). I go to a non-denominational church. I do not believe that you should have to pay taxes to this church just because I can't or won't. I do not think you should have to support my decision to attend this church if you don't want to. I do not think you should have to buy my hunting license, just because I hunt, believe in hunting, participate in hunting, and eat what I hunt. I do not, and this is the key to my argument, I do not under any circumstances, believe that you should have to let me hunt on your land that you own just because I have a right to hunt. See where this is going? The gay couple does not own, in any stretch of the imagination, the church they are suing. I do not know what you do or, do not believe in. I do not care what you do, or do not believe in. If you are an athiest, I do not believe that you should have to allow me to put a sign advertising, or promoting, or even mentioning, my little church in your yard, ( I also don't think an athiest should be able to stop me from renting a billboard to advertise it though. You see, he does not own the billboard.) so by what right does anyone have to force me to pay for, support, defend, participate in, or even acknowledge, you or your beliefs? (Please remember that the word "you" describes liberals and democrats, and not "you" fom. I could go on and on, but I've found that it doesn't matter what, or how many words I use, liberals and democrats will still think that they not only have the right to believe what they want to, they believe that every person alive should have to believe it and support it also. I know it can't happen, but I believe that there should be a force shield around my property (and yours if you want one) that is absolute. One that only God himself could get through. No one from outside your force shield should be able in ANY way, to change or alter or add to or take away from or even look at, without you doing it yourself, by your own choice. Everything inside the force shield is yours to do whatever you please. Make it better, or destroy it. Your, and only your choice. Period. But the same goes for me and every other individual. My personal rights trump any other rights or laws on my property. Period. ( Recognize that word?) Hopefully this was polite enough. Hopefully it gives you or someone something to think about. I know it will never change any liberals or democrats mindset. The difference between me and a liberal is selfishness. Just like liberals claim it to be. Yes I firmly believe that what I work for, pay for, and own through my labor and choices, should be mine and mine alone with no possibility that any other person place or entity should have any right to any of it. Liberals on the other hand are truly selfish. You see they don't just want what they want, they honestly believe that I should have to give it to them from what I accomplished without any of their help. I should have to give it to them even though they are the ones who made it so hard for me to attain it in the first place. Yes I have a deep, deep seeded hate and distrust of any person or especially any group, that tries to take what they did not earn from someone who did. NO ONE should have to abide by any other person or group's opinion on their own lifestyle or property. NO ONE. Not even me. You know, the old, outdated, selfish, crumb stealing, individual that wrote all these useless words.

Where did you get that idea? The one about this being a Conservative site? I did some research before joining and I found that this site accommodates all political parties without discrimination.

But to respond to your question. Not yet. But, I was called an idiot tonight by an apparent Liberal. Does that count?

I did an introduction on myself, I am not sure who you are angry with that "just started posting." I am sure that they did not do it just to make you upset.

So, I would like to share with you a joke, just to make you feel better and confirm that this is indeed a Conservative Site.

A man died and went to Heaven.

As he stood in front of the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him.

He asked, "What are all those clocks?"

St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks.

Everyone on earth has a Lie-Clock.

Every time you lie, the hands on your clock move."

"Oh", said the man. "Whose clock is that?"

"That's Mother Teresa's," replied St. Peter.

"The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."

"Incredible," said the man.

"And whose clock is that one?"

St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock.

The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abraham told only two lies in his entire life."

"Where's Obama's clock?" asked the man.

"Obama's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan!"

I cannot find a single thing in your post to complain about. It is true. Ignorant voters are as big a threat to our survival as a decent nation as are the power hungry politicians who manage to get into office. I grew up dirt poor and am not really well off now, but I am comfortable and I thank God for that. I try to help my fellow man as I see fit. I don't care for the way this huge bureaucratic government "administers" programs to help me. Recklessness and hubris reside in the halls of Congress - thoughts of constituents and their concerns are of value only so far as the vote comes in. What an insult our "leaders" laud us with!! But if there is one thing I might want to challenge you on, it is that republican voters may not be as well versed as you think they should be - but most of them know who is running for what office and why they should vote him in or out, whereas so many democrat voters never have heard of Barney Frank or Chris Dodd! Many of them have never heard of Karl Marx, or so they say. Quite a few of them don't know who Maxine Waters is or Harry Reid. Where do these idiots hide out throughout times between elections??

Maybe they are where I was for 5 days. I went to the office and announced that there would be no sex or violence in my life for the next 5 days. After shocked looks and laughter, someone asked me what my husband thought of that. I explained he was out of town for the week instead of his usual 2 day, and I was not going to watch television or read the newspaper until he got back.

Maybe that's where a lot of people are. Our paper carrier leaves the paper in driveways instead of on porches, and It amazes me how many drive ways are empty.

Not to mention that they voted for him twice... after failing at everything he tried. The only things that were moderately successful for him were policies put in place by George Bush.

Outstanding! You have pretty much summed up the Libertarian platform, at least domestically. I will say that sometimes really necessary charity, to people who need it, must come from government sources. People who temporarily need assistance are one thing. Those who make a career out of it are another.
