This link is nearly two years old and our government has planned to move all our troops out of Afghanistan by the middle of 2014. What will that do for little girls there? Haven't we recently had a young Afghan girl recovering from being shot in the head by Taliban operatives? We have done nothing for those kids in the last couple of years.
My foster daughter was in Afghanistan with the National Guard in 2011 - 2012 and one job she was given was to teach young girls. The girls loved her and wanted her to stay with them. Of course, she was carrying a weapon all the time. She also worked with Afghan women teaching them to save food in modern ways. Who looks out for them and what she taught them once our troops are gone?
