This whole line about America being neo-Nazi is part of the pro-New Russia anti-America propaganda line that America is world hegemon and imperialist. There's an on-going propaganda professional operation ongoing on OPP, several threads a day promoting this America the Imperialist line. The same clique of posters chime in, one of them being the peculiar Butcherdutch, the real neo-Nazi type. The whole America the Ugly story line, as opposed to America the Beautiful, that is so peculiar and puzzling with some extremists on OPP may be from this propaganda operation. Not that there isn't plenty wrong and mistaken in America but some of the story line twists on those circumstances appear to be agenda driven, as in the instance of this this thread's 'Obama's America like Hitler's Germany' theme.

The propaganda operation sometimes actually features quoted material from Russia Today, as well as quotes supporting Moscow's Ukraine position and America the Hegemon story line from such sources as, strangely enough, Paul Craig Roberts, Lyndon LaRouche, and Ron Paul.

Part of the problem with Islamophobia in the US is the inability to distinquish between Islam belief and Arab culture.

The ire of most right-fringe Islamophobia is actually, at least in part, aimed at Arab Culture.

Pan Arabism is as much the root of much of the hatred of America in the Middle East as is the actual precepts of Islam.

Iran (Persian) and Pakistan (tribal) are two notable exceptions, each for it's own reasons, including our overthrow of a secular, democratically elected government in Iran and replacing it with a brutal dictator, the Shah. .

As I noted Indonesia, a nation far removed from Arab culture, is the largest Muslim country, by population, in the world. Is that nation a hotbed of anti-american torpor?

And you claim I'm ignorant of history or world religions and claim that there were no Ukrainian SS units? Or Romanian or Lithuanian units?

Perhaps you should go back to the history books.

PS: Croatia is, and always has been, Roman Catholic. Again, check your history books.

Hate to tell you this blade, but there were more than a dozen countries that had either volunteers or conscripts into the Waffen SS.

Nations with four more more divisions of Waffen SS:

Ukraine, Netherlands, France, Hungary, Croatia (a Roman Catholic Croatia) and that combined Baltic States (Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.)

Other nations with less than four divisions of Waffen SS:

Denmark Norway, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Belgium, Britain (very small continent) the United States (even smaller) India, Ireland, Italy, Russia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia , Luxembourg and Armenia.

Ethnic groups with SS units: Tartars, Cossacks, Arabs (very small and, along with India SS groups, not widely accepted with German SS leadership as even close to Aryan.) India's SS membership far outmanned any Arab membership.

Back to the books, blade. Look in any one about the Waffen SS. Any book at all.

You could be right Kevyn. I understand people not liking a particular president. It has always been thus, since the founding of this nation. I don't however get the visceral hatred.

When he is decisive, they accuse him of being a dictator. When he is naturally hesitant, like with taking up arms against the world's #2 nuclear armed nation, they accuse him of being a wimp.

It kind of reminds me of the anti-semites who accuse Jews of being communists, then rail against them for capitalist excesses.
