Pay A Few Million For The First Part Of Building The Wall That Hasn't Been Done...

Huge projects start with fully fleshed out plans. Consultants are hired to break it down into sections that real world prices can be put to. Before spending billions you spend a few million so that you know exactly what you are getting into. Trump wanted this wall as soon as he took office, the GOP wanted nothing to do with the preliminary part of the job.

Would the brilliant businessman Trump start pouring the foundation of a building before having consultants do bedrock analysis and bid the cost of doing the foundation? Would he start pouring a foundation if he hadn't had an architect design the building and contractors give bids on each facet of the project? The framework would not be started before you knew how much the glass was going to cost.

So here is where the Donald's expertise is supposed to shine, he promised to build the best wall, on the premise that he is the best builder, builds the best buildings. He also claimed he builds things the cheapest, for less money.

Trump is not going to get the most for his money by throwing numbers around that he pulls out of his butt.

When Trump took office the GOP was in such a hairy hurry to get started on the wall that they didn't have a clue how much it was going to cost. They came out the gate wanting tens of billions, and the real money was on the fact that the reality would be north of twice that. The GOP didn't want to be trying to get a wall that was well planned and priced according to reality, that work has been done before and it doesn't go well toward getting approvals based on reality.

Ten or twenty million in hard objective consulting engineering that breaks the wall into it's component sections would be money well spent, you simply have to have a full understanding of how much something is going to cost before starting. Get local contractors to bid the sections they are closest to.

The well explored preliminary engineering was a major and crucial part of the last go around of the wall. The outcome was that priority sections could be focused on in a systematic way. Remote and difficult sections could have new technology explored such as a drone oriented system, motion detectors, deterrent systems, etc. Based on objective assessments of the hardest parts they were determined to not be worth the money they would cost.

Government needs to stop jumping into projects that end up costing tens of billions more than the original estimates pulled out of the butts of those who want them. Do the wall, but explore the realities first.

You have no concept of what a shut down is or what it accomplishes. There is nothing about the farm bill that relates to a government shutdown. I'm pretty sure dems would get medieval on the farm bill if the GOP weren't protecting it.

POTUS Trump allowed the Press in to their discussion of the Wall, today. Chuck tripped over his d!ck and Nancy crapped her pants, getting out of there. Later, all the dumb bitch had to offer was some off-the-wall comment about POTUS's "manhood". Don't expect intelligent debate from the Democrats, they're all mindless idiots.

There is quite a list of things that should not be brought into these negotiations. The Farm Bill Is One Of Them.
Do you know what Pork Barrel Politics Is?
You need to study up a bit.

And that is your take on what happened there?

The "dumb bitch" was trying to get the president to tell the majority leaders to start negotiations on a budget, which he has been refusing to do on the grounds nothing is going to fly if there isn't a deal on the wall, which by the way Pelosi said there would be, just based on facts and reality, not the garbage numbers and BS Trump was slinging.

These idiot dems are making Trump look like the moron he is, he just owned shutting down government over the wall, said nothing else matters.

I've been so dead against farm bills forever, they are purely wasted money, maybe 10% or less gets to people who need it, the rest is pure giveaway corporate welfare. I have relatives who are farmers and support them, but they have stories about how they are abused as well. Stories such as being paid not to grow something, tilling swampy unusable acres for additional subsidies, price subsidies, monster corporations getting tens of millions while struggling farmers get little in the way of help...they are real, and the system bleeds hundreds of millions. I know enough to know that the goal of what farm bills are supposed to do is not the reality, the money is wasted and abused because it is a system designed to benefit wealthy farmers, not struggling ones.

The farm bill has been used as a cudgel to force the GOP to not cut "entitlements", we won't cut your farm bill if you don't cut welfare.

Things like the farm bill should be handled as stand alone bills that aren't used in a bargaining capacity against something else that should be done in a stand alone way as well. Farm subsidies would face a hard road if they stood alone.

Until the dumb bitch and Schumer explain how many more million illegals from sh!thole countries they intend to let into this country, through lax border enforcement, and add to the warfare rolls, we can't start budget talks. A few million more illegals means a few billion more on the warfare costs.

The wall is pretty far down on a list of real priorities...it's symbolic at best, and needs to be handled with a lot more eyes wide open factors.

Did the makeshift fences at San Diego have anything to do with slowing down the "caravans"? Did the Demoncrats have anything to do with it? I thought that even the weak fence at San Diego worked pretty well. I don't think there is a way that any more Latin groups will be able to tear down any of the "fences" that have been built lately.

Do you think that people like Pelosi and Schumer will be able to stop he building of the proposed "wall"? Hell, those people couldn't stop that if they had help and people like Pelosi and Schumer can 't stop the fence from being built although they both back no borders and the work of ICE but they will surely try. Don't you people have any idea about what no borders means for us?

The leftist wacko Democrats have no idea what the results any of their silly ideas will be.

They think that open borders will have no adverse consequences, and no excessive costs to taxpayers. They believe that socialism/communism will be better than our republic. They are convinced that government controlled healthcare will be better and cost less. In short, most liberals are shallow minded idiots.
