Four times in 69 years!! SHAME ON AMERICA FOR ELECTING A NON-VETERAN PRESIDENT WHO DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF:HE IS ABSOLUTELY A DISGRACE TO ALL WHO FOUGHT FOR THIS NATION AND GAVE THEIR LIVES.

June 6, 2013, the 69th anniversary of "D-Day", the largest invasion ever attempted, where 200,000 Americans stormed the beaches at Normandy to begin the final push to defeat Nazi Germany in WWII. D-Day marked the turning point in WWII in Europe, where the Nazis were engaged in mass murder of Jews and minorities by the thousands.

Today, European heads of state make it a point to recall and honor the sacrifices of those who landed in Normandy, as do our Presidents....well, most of them....

In the 69 years since D-Day, there are four occasions when the President of the United States chose not to visit the D-Day Monument that honors the soldiers killed during the Invasion.

The occasions were:

1. Barack Obama, 2010

2. Barack Obama, 2011

3. Barack Obama, 2012

4. Barack Obama, 2013

For the past 69 years, every American President except Obama have taken the time to honor the memory and sacrifices of the 6,000 American soldiers killed on D-Day. ....Except Obama!

June 6, 2010, Obama had no events scheduled.

June 6, 2011, Obama met with the National Security team and was interviewed by WEWS Cleveland and WDIV in Detroit about the auto industry - FAR too busy to visit the D-Day memorial.

June 6, 2012, instead of honoring our fallen soldiers, Obama made a campaign trip to California on Air Force 1 (at our expense) to raise funds for (his) upcoming election.

June 6, 2013, Obama was doing ANOTHER fund raiser with the multi-millionaires in the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in Palo Alto, CA, once again at our expense.

America – This man act’s like he has no love for America. No, he has no love for America, none.

Between 1944 and 2012 — a span of 68 years — exactly four U.S. presidents have attended D-Day memorial ceremonies a total of exactly six times. Barack Obama was one of them.
The first sitting President to honor the D-Day Memorial in Normandy on June 6th was Ronald Reagan in 1984 for the 40th anniversary. Bill Clinton was there for the 50th anniversary, George Bush for the 60th and, yes, Barack Obama was there on June 6th 2009 for the 65th anniversary.

I don't mean to be rude, but did it take you this long to figure this out?? I knew what he was like before he got elected the first time and so did a lot of my friends. I knew he was going to be bad just by the way he spoke during his campaign and his past that none of us could really find out about. We tried looking him up on the internet and couldn't find anything that would lead me to believe he was anything but bad for this country. He sure didn't have any experience in running a government, or anything for that matter.

I don't run off to Europe either to observe WWII anniversaries. Does that mean I don't love America?
Nor do I take off to Hawaii every Dec. 7th, or Gettysburg every July, or the Alamo every March. Matter of fact, on the recent anniversary of Iwo Jima I stayed home without a thought of the battle. I even stopped attending church regularly; too much of a disruption and hassle to sit through some preacher rant how God is pissed off and Jesus is going to float down from Heaven with an angel army and kill everybody.
Uh, by the way, the president did attend the ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Does that count for something?

I don't think being a veteran has anything to do with being a good President. U.S Grant was a military commander and he was probably our worst President. Some vets like George Washington made great Presidents, others not!

Do you think a person that was in the military may have a bit more leadership? No a hard question for you.

“Nobody pretends that democracy is perfect or at all wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.” — Winston Churchill

Thank God for fools. The president might have that unsightly skin problem--but at least he's sane.

some do, some don't. I knew people in charge of servicemen and women were not fit to lead pigs to a slop fest, and I know people in authority in civilian life that have made great leaders.

I saw him come out on a stage that look like a castle on one of his speeches before his first election. I wondered if we would really elect this man that had no content, no record, was hardly ever casting any votes, hiding all his records and sealing them up. That showed to me he was a fraud. He is a loser and has made a loser out of our country and I wonder can we survive under the rest of his unleadership.
