...with the actual thinking of most Americans, yet time and again its defenders cite impossibly overblown percentages of Americans agreeing with them, ie "75%" when the actual number might be closer to 35%.

Unfortunately for them and their socialist kleptocracy political platform, reality manifests itself fairly regularly and, apparently in a state of denial about this, they forge ahead with their saturation-based strategy, pummeling Americans with their offensive left wing politics everywhere we turn, in TV, movies, ART, music, even sports without let-up.

And people are beginning to demonstrate their displeasure in a very costly way...

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2018/11/23/happy-thanksgiving-espn-lost-two-million-subscribers-this-year-n2536405

The question is, will those lefties eventually realize that the choir they preach to is a lot smaller than they like to believe and adjust their propaganda strategy accordingly, or will they continue their "progressive" policy of repeating failure over and over?

If I were a betting man, I'd double down on the latter.

They're already "adjusting". HRC was in France, I think, last week and was talking about the rise in nationalism in western countries is due to importing refugees. So they should say theyre gonna stop that. They probably wont stop, but they'll SAY they will. And Schumer gave a speech last week saying that now that the dems have the house, they can work on infrastructure, education, etc etc. You know, all of Prez Trump's talking points. I'm awfully tired, tho, of most all entertainment being leftist propaganda. I know im not entertained. Nor am I happy that I have to go to alternate and foreign news sources to get American news. I WANT to have confidence in the news. But I can't cuz they're caught lying and distorting things so much. I WANT to discuss different issues with friends in restaurants, etc. But I'm cautious because you don't know where the loonies are gonna pop up. I WANT to feel safe buying food, but every week now we hear of something else that's been crapped in/on. I am an American born citizen and I'm sick and tired of all this and more. And I'M not alone by a long shot....

That's for sure, though if you listen to a Democrat you'd think there were only five or six people in the entire country who aren't "progressives."

They called for a boycott of Chick Filet, and in solidarity with the Christian owned chicken chain people showed up in droves, driving up the chain's business numbers.

They called for a boycott of 'In n' Out' recently, and that seems to have been ignored altogether.

Nobody called for a boycott of ESPN, Americans simply spoke with their patronage, or in the sports network's case, lack thereof.

I believe you are absolutely correct and for that reason, I have largely cut off their influence into my life, through all of those channels of influence.

"Progressive", like "Conservative", "Far Right" and "Left" are subjective terms that most people seem to apply liberally (pun not intended) to folks not aligned with their own ideas.
More productive, I think, to argue policies and actions.

That has been attempted many a time by conservatives; unfortunately, since at the very end of the chain of policy arguments followed
along "progressives'" lines of logic, there is never anything in the way of compromise.

It invariably ends in name calling or ridiculous memes originating on the left side of the "conversation."

Another factor is the left's total rejection of the results of the 2016 election: as long as these single minded automatons maintain a "Trump can do no right no matter what" position, ignoring every positive result of his presidency and accusing him falsely of every crime in the book while also ignoring singularly blatant criminality on the part of certain Democrats, it is tough getting honest debate from the left.

Finally, knowing that their policies, if explained with all ramifications, will appeal to only a small percentage of voters, including many of their own Democrats, the left argues with social justice, identity politics and bumper sticker slogans rather than such factors as fiscal realities and other elements that would have immediate negative impacts on individuals' and their families' day to day lives.

All that said, even when a "progressive" policy HAS resulted in disaster, the left will continue to defend it unto death, usually by calling those who disagree racists, fascists or some variety of "phobe."

Maybe, just maybe, a severe drop in revenues might find the individuals in charge of these many venues to finally get a clue.

Personally, I could care less what the CEO of a sports, cultural or other entertainment venue thinks about politics, since I'm patronizing his/her concern for leisure time enjoyment, not to be buried in his/her/their politics, and most Americans of both parties feel exactly the same way.

I also don't care who is president when I hear, say, a comedian making really offensive jokes about them or their families, all I hear is people who, on my dime, expect me to listen to them degrading the leader of my country.

Funny, light hearted humor is perfectly acceptable and enjoyable, but when it gets "down and dirty" it's another story entirely.

So welcome to the club, Roy.

You're right about that. But due to our failing "news" sources that's very difficult, because different people think they know different things. And a lot of policies get ignored altogether.
