Wrong Radiance. William Tyndale didn't use the Catholic version of the Bible which of course was NOT created by Peter. He wrote 1 Peter and 2 Peter as directed by the Holy Spirit.

The Scriptures were mostly dictated by the Holy Spirit. But directed and used Peter, and the rests of the Apostles to put them in writing.

Again, you are confused, because you based your answers from the Sola Scriptura.

No Doc you gave zero proof. Jesus never prayed for the dead. That isn't scriptural either.

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!

Doc,

You can't combine the sick and the dead as similar.

The sick are alive, and can receive salvation, by God's grace, through their faith, if they believe and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The dead cannot.

"Just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgment" (Hebrew 9:27).

Rose42,

Double wrong, . . . Prove it rose,

I will guarantee 100% that Tyndale either copied it from the Catholic Bible, The Greek Catholic Bible, or from the Hebrew Catholic revision from the Greek Catholic Bible.

for over 1,100 everything was from the Catholic cannon, e.g. the Bible.

What you just presented is called word called "Hagiography" It's a word embellishment, that is fabricated or is a man-made exaggeration of history and or people.

As you have just done, and said in this comment. Look up the word . . . biography that idealizes its subject.

Shame on you rose 42 for lying.

Now apologize to Radiance3.

Radiance,

1. There is NO difference between the myriad Catholic versions of the New Testament and the "Protestant" New Testaments.

2. The difference is in the Old Testament, where the Catholic rulers removed the 2nd amendment forbidding the use of graven images, meaning the statues found in every Catholic church world-wide.

In order to have Ten Commandments in total, these devious, godless men, then split the 10th commandment in two, as the 9th and 10th commandment.

3. If you actually are ignorant enough to still believe there is such a thing as a "Sola Scriptura" Bible, do yourself a favor.
Walk up and down the aisles of any Christian Bible Store, or even any Barnes and Noble, searching for the illusive "Sola Scriptura" Bible.

When unable to find one, ask the clerk to assist you, better yet, go to the computerized Service Desk, and have then look it up in Inventory...

You could do this search online, but it would not leave as much of an impression as earnestly exerting some effort.

Then, please have the honesty and the humility to check in on OPP, and report your findings.

Mostly? God's word says "ALL" scripture not some or mostly.

Tim. 3:16-17, "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 that the man of God may be adequate--equipped for every good work."
