Thanksgiving. The custom of Americans feeding illegal aliens.
The Meaning of Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

There were no immigration laws then. Using your thought process we can massacre some of the illegal aliens since that also happened during the period you are talking about.

I’d prefer a true wish for everyone to be Thankful for all we really do have instead.. So I’ll start it off~~
May we all remember our many miracles and blessings and be Thankful for them..
Thank You all for coming here because you really do care about our country..
Thankful for life, living it to its fullest and enjoying every minute of it..
Share with others, say something nice to another or simply give them a smile... They will appreciate it...

It was a joke. Lighten up and chill. Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you enjoy the day...

And you want us to make the same mistake the Native Americans made ?
No, it wasn't a joke. It was a typical snipe from your side. Don't forget the cranberry to go with the turkey and gravy.

There were no Americans at that time as there was no country called America. There were tribes of indians who were wandering nomads, with no concept of property, and no desire to own the land where they hunted.

I bet you wear one of those sweatshirts that show those native Americans with rifles, captioned "The Original Homeland Security."
I say this because it's typical "progressive" fare, like the ignoramuses who wear Che Guevara shirts.
Whenever I see those "Original Homeland Security" sweatshirts I get this urge to walk up to these folks and remind them that their heroes on the shirts.... LOST.
That said, which illegal aliens were those, exactly, that were fed by Americans? This is a piece of history I must have missed, seeing as the United States of America, from whence Americans come, was not established until the latter part of the1700s, and therefore there actually WERE no Americans during the century of which you speak. Nor the century following that one, and therefore, since there was no country as we know a country here at the time, there couldn't be any illegal aliens, either.
It would appear that those of you who hang your hats on the left tend to replace history, when you're not simply erasing it, wherever convenient to your political narrative, with made up "facts" based on some kind of symbolism.
No wonder so many young people today are like clones of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.

There are still 2 empty chairs at our table, as only 17 people have been invited to share Thanksgiving with us, and we are all getting together on Saturday as 2 of our boys and their families are driving from out of state. We did have an early thanksgiving with out of state people, long time friends and a couple with a 13 year old daughter who had early Thanksgiving while their car was being fixed. They had a car accident a mile from here , a friend towed their car to the repair place and they stayed with us for 4 days. Seems that each year we have new friends stay, people who we didn't know until we invited them to stay. Clue here We invited them in, they did not DEMAND food and shelter thinking it was their right. Had that been the case THEY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY, and the mastiffs would have informed them of that fact!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family....
And to all the folks here. Hope you have a good time with your families.
If you have to work, like me, just remember.....it's good to give thanks for blessings every day of the year.

If I lived near you I would make you a special plate and bring it to you..
Thank You, working.. We may not always agree but I sure am grateful to be able to discuss many things... You allow me to see the other viewpoint and I much appreciate you for it!! ❤️
You have a beautiful heart. You were taking one heck of a chance, though. From what I've read of some laws those folks you very kindheartedly invited into your home could have refused to leave and nothing you could do about it short of going to court and the whole nightmare that goes with it. I didn't believe that when somebody told me about an issue they were having with a squatter in their home. I said put his ass out. They said they can't according to law. I asked what they meant. They said somebody could sleep on your couch one night. If the next day they refused to leave you got a real problem. You can't make them leave. I said bullshit I can't put someone out of my house that I don't want there. I looked it up and they were correct. And lord forbid if you let them accept a piece of mail at your home. That means they live there and you can't put them out. You have to take them to court. Meanwhile they live with you RENT FREE and nothing you can do until court. Ain't that something? Saw a movie about that same thing and couldn't believe it. Somebody could just come in, plop down refusing to leave and nothing you can do. Remember, no good deed goes unpunished. So, be careful about letting people stay in your home while you are doing the right thing in trying to help them.
