https://www.politicususa.com/2018/11/15/robert-mueller-don-trump-jr.htmlAnxiety is running high at the White House as the Trump administration believes that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is ready to pounce.
Politico reported:
Half a dozen people in contact with the White House and other Trump officials say a deep anxiety has started to set in that Mueller is about to pounce after his self-imposed quiet period, and that any number of Trumpâs allies and family members may soon be staring down the barrel of an indictment.
.
Adding to the unease is a spate of anonymously sourced media reports suggesting Muellerâs self-imposed quiet period that started about two months before 2018 Election Day is about to transition into a Category 5 hurricane.
â¦
Also on indictment watch: Donald Trump Jr., the presidentâs oldest son, who has told his friends in recent weeks that he believes he could be facing charges from Mueller, according to one of those people.
MSNBCâs Nicolle Wallace reported that Trump is in the midst of a Mueller fueled meltdown and the presidentâs mental state is the worst that it has been in years. With Democrats taking back the House, the Mueller investigation has sharper teeth than it had before. The consequences of the Mueller are impeachment.
Whether or not Trump could be removed from office isnât the question. The lesson from the Bill Clinton impeachment is that such proceedings effectively shut down and end a presidency for years. Trumpâs term would be effectively over if the nation was plunged into an impeachment crisis.
Impeachment made Bill Clinton toxic on the campaign trail, and cost Al Gore the 2000 election. A president who was impeached, even if not convicted, who has just gotten swept in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan midterm elections would be virtually doomed in a reelection campaign.
Robert Mueller canât bring down Trump on his own, but he can deliver the evidence that the country needs to set itself straight and put the people who committed crimes against America behind bars.
